Brantley Lake State Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very impressed with NM State parks. Only reason for 4 star is that it was not full hookup. We camped at Brantley Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Burlingame State Park, Charlestown, Rhode Island

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Our rating is Average due to only part of the park was available during our visit. We had driven through Burlingame State Park previously, to find appropriate sites for our 42' Fifth Wheel. However, when we made our reservation, we weren't aware that they close 2/3 of the park after Labor Day. This put us choosing a site unseen. They forbid trimming the trees and our site ended up having branches which would be in the way of many camper sizes. While dry camping, we utilize the bathroom facilities at parks. During our 10 night stay, there was never soap in the bathroom. There was a dispenser, which should be removed if they aren't going to provide soap. This is a beautiful park nature-wise and we know now to expect limited site availability during off-peak. We camped at Burlingame State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

EZ Kamp, Grovertown, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We found EZ Kamp on Google Maps. We just needed a place to stop for the night with electric. We called ahead since we would probably be arriving after dark. The owner was helpful and friendly. He said just come on in and ring the bell as they live upstairs. It was after 9 pm by the time we got there. No problem getting to site. It was an all grass pull-thru with no trees to avoid. We didn't even unhook for the night. The location is very convenient to the highway. We've read reviews before about highway noise. If a park is near the highway you should expect that and we aren't bothered by that. We would stay here again if we're in the area. We camped at EZ Kamp in a Fifth Wheel.
