Michigan City Campground, Michigan City, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to from the freeway, but far enough away so little or no traffic noise. When you arrive there is a gate that is closed, and you have to push the service button to gain entrance. Check in was easy, but the lady who checked us in was condescending. Fortunately, everyone else that worked there was very pleasant. We had site 244, a long pull through on with a large concrete pad next to the gravel parking area. Excellent water pressure and excellent location of utilities. Overall, an excellent park. We camped at Michigan City Campground in a Motorhome.

Casino Queen RV Park, East Saint Louis, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to, nicely spaced spots, great wi-fi, security makes regular patrols. Casino has very good buffet. Easy access to St Louis and all it has to offer. Nice view of the arch. Only drawback, and it was much more than most parks, was the constant and close by train traffic. All day and all night long. Even with the a/c fan running all night for white noise, it was intrusive. My wife is a heavy sleeper and it didn't bother her, but I am I am a light sleeper and it was too much for me. We've stayed here twice but I would try and find somewhere else next time. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Very easy to get to, very nice host, and nice park. A couple things to be aware of: gravel road for about 1/4 mile to check in area-very dusty when we were there, even at idle speed. Our spot was un-level, both front to back and side to side, to the degree our jacks fully extended took the back wheels of our motorhome off the ground, so we had to put down some wood blocks under the coach jacks. Sewer was a bit uphill from pad. Beautiful views for sunset and sunrise, excellent satellite, okay wifi, close to historic sites. We would stay here again just to just enjoy the views, the quietness, and the overall ambiance of the park. Don't recall what we paid so I put $1. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. This park is on a hill so most sites are on terraces, with fairly steep asphalt roads through the park. Sites are gravel and pretty close together. We have stayed here twice, and I would stay again. We did not use the bathrooms or the pool, but they appeared fine. I estimated the price because I don't recall how much we paid, but I'm sure it was reasonable for Branson. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

We stayed on a monthly rate for a month, which came to about $30 per day plus electric. A premier park, located in the warm and sunny Rio Grande Valley. A large rv resort, with 3 pool, 18 hole golf, and lots and lots of things to keep you busy. Very friendly staff and campers. We camped at Llano Grande Resort and Country Club in a Motorhome.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there three nights, during the week right after Thanksgiving. This park is very easy to get to, using either the main street or one of the colored routes in Branson. Check-in was easy and quick. We were led to our site by Dustin and assisted in parking. This park has tiered spots and hills, but roads are plenty wide and there are several routes to get the the entrance/exit. Check in clerk Lilly was very helpful in getting tickets for some shows, and later the owner was also helpful in getting us tickets. Check out was simple, just drop your gate card and bathroom key in a box by the exit gate. We'll stay here again whenever we get to Branson. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a Thor Motorhome rally with about 235 other rigs. The facility was full, but it was clear this would be a good place to stay when out on your own as well. Might want to avoid it during a rally. It's a large park, with hundreds of sites, ranging from beautiful manicured sites, to full hook up in a field.

I don't recall our site number so put 1. Roads are paved and plenty of room to maneuver. Close to other areas if you like day trips. We visited Notre Dame for an excellent day trip. Also, Goshen is a pretty neat town with a main street with a 60's era, lots of small businesses and stores. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for an overnight rest on a trip from Goshen, IN to Fayetteville, AR. We made a phone reservation from the road about an hour out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, telling us if we couldn't make it before normal hours they would accommodate us when we got there. Check in was quick and easy.

I don't recall the rate, but this entry required a number so the $30 is a guess. The hostess was super friendly and had great pride in her park. We were guided to our site and assisted in parking. We had a great spot (can't recall the number) with lots of room and a great view of a field. Fantastic sunset view as we grilled some burgers. I wish we had a few days to spend in the area, we will stay her for sure. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.
