Gulf Waters RV Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Great park and location, we really enjoyed our stay here. Our first time to the Port Aransas area, we came for Thanksgiving week with our three kids to enjoy the sun and sand. The park is beautiful, well maintained with gorgeous landscaping. Bathrooms were possibly the nicest we've ever had camping. Did not use the pool, but it is heated and hot tub available as well. They do offer two times/day for adults only in the pool.

Location is on a less busy stretch of beach. We rented a buggy from Port A Beach Buggies, that's the only way to go! So fun driving on the beach and in town. They were great to work with. We were in town when our buggy started to have trouble. We called and they brought another right away to our location. About a 20 minute drive down the beach to town.

No open fires at Gulf Waters but you can have a fire on the beach, which we'd highly recommend.

We saw the other campgrounds we were considering during our stay and so glad we chose Gulf Waters, by far the nicest. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Gulf Waters RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi, great way to spend a day exploring and learning about military history and life on an aircraft carrier.

Our favorite meal in town was probably dinner at Moby Dick's. They have several boils available, my husband got the snow crab boil, it was a very generous portion and quite good.

Northlake Village RV Park, Northlake, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

For our purpose of just needing a place to stop for the night, this park was fine. When I called to make the reservation, the lady was helpful in trying to find us a discount through various groups. We did not use the pool or fire pit area, but they looked very nice. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There looked to be several community picnic tables, none at individual sites. There seemed to be quite a few permanent sites, but all were neatly kept. This would be a great location if you are going to the Texas Motor Speedway. We camped at Northlake Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
