Beverly Beach State Park, Newport, Oregon
Date of Stay:
August, 2017 -
$8.00
Overall Rating:
Gorgeous Oregon state park just off the highway and a short walk to the beach. We were able to check in early and it was very easy. The main road through the park to the trailer sites is plenty wide enough and big enough. No wind in the back of the park even when the wind howls on the beach. Easy location to hook up power and water. No sewer at this site. We camped at Beverly Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Halfway between Newport Oregon and Depoe Bay this is the perfect campground to explore the Central Oregon coast. Easy access to highway 101 and driving from Lincoln City to Waldport is easy. Go to Newport to the Oregon Coast Aquarium it is awesome

Overall Rating:
Pulled in well after check-in time and the front office check-in staff was super nice. Kind of a tight turn into the park but manageable even with a 30 plus ft 5th wheel. The park is nice but it is really windy. We camped at Waldport / Newport KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Alsea Bay is right there and just up the road is Bayshore with awesome beach.

Barview Jetty Park, Rockaway Beach, Oregon
Date of Stay:
June, 2017 -
$37.00
Overall Rating:
Park was completely packed full therefore there were not enough showers. When you were able to get to a shower it was dirty with sand and human hair. Sometimes enough hair it looked like Sasquatch had shaved there. RV spots are tight and a 90 degree turn off the road for the back in spots. Park is huge and if you don't need power some of the spots in the back would be awesome. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Rockaway is only about 5 miles up the road and has the original pronto pup for a great snack. Tillamook is about 10 miles or so to get ice cream at the cheese factory then stop at the Tillamook Smoker for pepperoni and beef jerky.

Nehalem Bay State Park, Nehalem, Oregon
Date of Stay:
May, 2017 -
$8.00
Overall Rating:
Park is beautifuler with costal pines all over the park. Contrary to earlier views I had no problem getting my 13 ft high 5th wheel through the park. Restrooms had a few sinks out of order due to kids filling them with sand but park tried to fix them. Wood delivery to your site anytime as the guy circled the park most the day Open park even with all the trees and path to beach is an easy walk although it is all soft sand. We camped at Nehalem Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Walk to the beach and dip your toes in the cold Pacific ocean.

South Beach State Park, Newport, Oregon

Overall Rating:
Arrived on a Thursday stayed thru Sunday. About a 1/4 mile walk to the beach on a paved trail. Very nice park clean restrooms and showers. Stayed in the C loop. We camped at South Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Oregon Coast Aquarium is very close to this park. Fish and chips and the fish market right on 101 just south of the bridge before you get to the park. Fresh caught fish to make fish and chips. Thursday was Ling Cod for the fresh fish. Also you have to go down to historic bay front and see the sea lions

Cape Lookout State Park, Tillamook, Oregon
Date of Stay:
March, 2017 -
$8.00
Overall Rating:
Stayed in spot C51 with a 32ft fifth wheel total length on trailer is 37 ft though. Kinda tight turn to back into the spot and the road around the c loop is a little narrow but got around it fine. Rained the whole time while there but it is a beautiful park and C loop is in the trees. No TV signal but didn't care. Hookup was 30 amp and was good water pressure was good. Sewer hookup way at the back of the site so back in far back as you can. Plenty of room in the back of the pad. Path to the bathroom right next to this site so very convenient which was nice. Showers were individual rooms that locked water temp got HOT. Short walk to the beach. About 11 miles from Tillamook. Price was low for us due to being foster parents with foster pass. We camped at Cape Lookout State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Tillamook Cheese factory in Tillamook and Tillamook Smoker for beef jerky north of Tillamook.
