Tips for other Campers:

Lots of history in the area. Schulenburg City, painted churches, German settlements. Monument Hill-Kreische Brewery, Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, LaGrange Parks and especially the smoked sausage shops are well worth it, the sausages and smoked meat are absolutely delicious. Shops and Restaurants close to I-10 are overpriced.

Galveston Island RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly new and thus clean and modern. Ample space, pool, hot tub, lazy river. A bit further out from Galveston but therefore not as crowded as the parks closer to the city. Ample access to beach across the street. Very quiet in the off season. Very friendly camp hosts. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Some tight turns in and out, but 41' MH and towing no problem. Pull through sites have no foliage, mainly used by satellite folks. If you do not need, get a back in closer to office, nicer portion of park. We camped at Hot Springs National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Sites close to water are worth the stay. Unfortunately only dailyand weekly sites are on the water. WiFi spotty, Verizon and AT&T were good. Nice setting on the River with lots of room to walk and bike on the grounds. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

GSP RV Park, Greer, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects monthly stay. It is always a pleasure to stay here. The owner and manager are more than friendly, helpful people who make you feel at home. Great location for exploring the area. Easy in and out off of I-85. Sites are more than adequate, WiFi was exceptionally fast and reliable. We camped at GSP RV Park in a Motorhome.

River's End Campground & RV Park, Tybee Island, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Older Park, small roads, some sites are very tight. Sites on southern side of Fort Ave have no shade. Walking distance to river and beach, restaurants, lighthouse. Overall great location, but the only game in town, thus the price. Clean facilities, friendly staff. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

There are 3 sections to this park. The Grove is the oldest section with gravel and tight spots, The Pond is a newer section with gravel, some patio sites and a bit more room, The Oasis is the newest (opened in March 2018) with brick lots, patios and brand new bathhouse, fitness room and laundry. Smaller dog park. Cable TV, daily trash pick up at site. WiFi was spotty, but larger bandwidth can be purchased. Location to St. Augustine is perfect. Park is quiet. Pool is nice and clean, with showers and toilets. Weekly socials, water aerobic, live music, breakfast. Trolley Tours picks up at Campground. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Jolly Roger RV Resort, Marathon, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with access to swimming in the ocean. Nice pier for fishing. Great sunset views. Not so good, spots at seawall get flooded after heavy rains to the point where it's difficult to get in and out. Park plans to fix this problem. Lack of supervision after 5 pm results in noise on the pier and Campground. We stayed for several weeks and did not see anybody clean the sites once. Washer/Dryer very expensive and again nobody cleans neither the room nor the machines. Otherwise enjoyed the sunsets. We camped at Jolly Roger RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sandusky / Bayshore KOA , Sandusky, Ohio

Typical KOA these days with lots of permanent residents, older park, tight sites, outdated washer/dryer, nature trail a joke, constant train noise night and day, 2 pools both full of kids. Close to shopping and Cedar Point and that is the only reason to stay here. WIFI OK. We camped at Sandusky / Bayshore KOA in a Motorhome.
