Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 2nd time here. We previosly stayed in July 2018. It was as good as we remembered. Sites are a little tight and a littke short. But we fit ok with a 35' class A and the Honda CRV paralell in front. Good amount of gravel on the pad, so when it rained it drained well. There is a little bit of grass between sites. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Everyone is scorted to their site. We will definitely be back again. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Haven Retreat, Indianapolis, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We are not a fan of opposing pull-thrus. As it was hot, we weren't outside at the site, so we pulled way closer to the passenger side to not be right next door to the utilities and neighbor. The grass in between is nice and a wide space. Didn't use WIfi. Cable was good with about 60 channels. Sewer is above ground about 8" so difficult to dump. 50amp worked great even with everyone running a/c full time. They need to put a dumpster or trash can in this area as nearest is quite a walk to the 200 section. Pad was level with a really thick layer of gravel. It poured one day and everything drained quickly. No puddles or mud. We camped at Lake Haven Retreat in a Motorhome.

Elkhart Campground, Elkhart, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are very tight. But we could put out slides and awning. Very long so had plenty of room for our 35' and Honda CRV. Great base location for factory tour and other activities. Verizon was good and so was DISH. WIFI wouldn't connect due to too slow. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Dunewood Campground (NPS Campground), Beverly Shores, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older campground in the woods and as such the roads are a little tight. We have 35' Class A and we were on site 23. This is a pull in site so that the very large private area for picnic table and fire ring are on the passenger side. However the site was designed as a back in and would be perfect for trailers. So it took a lot of maneuvering to get in and out of the site, especially with the narrow one-way road. All sites and roads are asphalt. Just long enough for the coach and Honda parked parallel behind it. No hook ups at all. Dump station is good and easy to get to. Fresh water is there too. No one to great us at check on and the camp host never stopped by to check on us. Mostly tent campers and smaller motorhomes. The Visitor Center is about 6 miles away. Very helpful staff with explaining about the park and restaurant recommendations. The Mather Loop can be reserved. The Douglas Loop is first come. Verizon worked well. Didn't try DISH since so heavily wooded. OTR got a good number of stations. We camped at Dunewood Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

William C. Sterling State Park, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Price includes non-resident annual state park fee. We were on site 43, which was the outside loop back-in site with electric only. All roads and sites are paved. Lots of grass between sites on this loop. Giant fire ring. Site was long enough for our 35' coach and Honda CRV. Bike path was nice but flooded in spots. Lots of families there for the weekend, but everyone was friendly and most sites were neat. Very quiet even with a full park. The beach is nice and fairly wide. The first gate that let's you into the State Park usually had lines and a wait to get in. Even if you have a pass. Then you have to stop again to check into the campground. The staff were fast and efficient. We camped at William C. Sterling State Park in a Motorhome.

Four Mile Creek State Park, Youngstown, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were on site 225 which had a lot of space on the driver side and a hedge on passenger side. So lots of privacy. We originally reserved 221, but when we got there, discovered a huge weeping willow tree encroached on part of the pad. It would have been on our roof and we would't have been able to open slides or awning. Perfect site for a small RV, but not for our 35' DP. As this was the weekend before the holiday, we got lucky that we were able to change sites. 225 was sunny and open, so Verizon and DISH worked great. You can see a little bit of Lake Ontario too. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Buy the Discovery Pass for Niagara Falls. All major attractions included at a very good price. Park in Niagara Falls State Park for free with your camping car pass. Usual price is $10. DO NOT park at or go to the Welcome Center. This is NOT part of the official Niagara Falls. Go to the Visitor Center. Plaza is under construction, but all services are open.

Sun Valley Campsites, Arkport, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. We were in site C-15, which is right across from the pool. This is a very busy part of the campground, but I made a reservation too late to request a site that was further away. This was the weekend before the July 4th holiday. The campground was almost full, due to people coming from the cities to spend the whole week there. About 2/3 seasonals but that still leaves about 100 transient sites of all different types, sizes and views. Seasonal sites are exceptionally well-maintained and very friendly. Verizon worked great. Had about 50 cable channels included, so didn't try DISH. Most weekends they have activities and fundraisers planned. We camped at Sun Valley Campsites in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Way overpriced for no sewer and only 1 WIFI code for the site. If you want WIFI on additional devices it is $2.60 per day per code. Great location for touring the area. Lots of room between sites with nice grass. Garbage pick-up and free pump out is a nice service. Verizon was good and we were able to get DISH. Camping Transit, Levis, Quebec

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very long pull thrus with lots of nice grass between each site. Site is dirt with sparse gravel. We are in the middle of the park and road is noisy, but didn't bother us. Must pay for WIFI at a daily rate of $2.60. We declined as we had 2 bars of 4G on Verizon. We received most DISH channels. The free shuttle to the ferry was a nice touch. Staff and owners very friendly and helpful. Everyone communicated in English. No problems with language. Deducted 2 stars for needing a load of gravel on each site, so we weren't in the mud ftom the recent rain. And, owner mowed the grass at 8pm one night. That should have been done during the day, not when everyone is relaxing for the evening. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Hartt Island RV Resort, Fredericton, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely pricey for an overnight stop. We understand that this includes the waterpark and minigolf, but even with that included that is too much. They allow public access for a fee. This morning 2 school buses pulled in and dropped off 60-70 kids. We were glad we were leaving. The pull-thru site was level and long enough so that we didn't have to unhook our toad. It was wide open and we were able to get DISH. We had Verizon 4g 5 bars. Park WIFI was horrible, even at 6:30am and we were fairly close to the office. Roads and sites are gravel. Some grass in between. Neighbors were close but not on top of each other. The park is on a bluff overlooking the river. Beautiful property. However ALL sites have the backends to the riverview. Everyone faces the road. It is as if the park was built backwards. We have a 35' classA so to get the toad on the site, we had to pull all the way to the end. The utilities were very far back. The post and sewer were next to the toad's rear door. We camped at Hartt Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax, Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We requested a site that was sunny and open so that we could get DISH. We were given site P3, which is across from the office and next to the owner's/manager's house. It is very near Hammonds Plains Rd. This road is very busy during the day. At night, the traffic is light and not noisy. This site also backs up to a cemetery - literally - there isn't even a fence. However, the residents are very quiet. The park WIFI was great for phones and tablet. We did get DISH. We had 4G 5 bars of Verizon. Park is a great location for exploring Halifax. Interior roads and sits are gravel. Grass separates the sites. The main part of the campground is wooded and very pretty to walk through. We camped at Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax in a Motorhome.

North Sydney / Cabot Trail KOA, New Harris, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for views and access to Cabot Trail. Site #16 was a long pull-thru 50amp. There are only a handful of 50amp sites so cook early if this is important to you. Campground map stated 3 OTR English channels. We only got 2 and 1 of those was static. DISH didn't work. Verizon service was good. Campground WIFI was OK until lots of people were using it. Trans-Canada #105 is a good highway. Park is all gravel with grass between sites. One day we had 2" of rain. Large puddles everywhere. But it drained very quickly except for the big hole in front of our coach. We camped at North Sydney / Cabot Trail KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice little park. Roads are a little tight but managed just fine. Nice wooded private sites. We were in 26 and it was long enough for our 35' class A and parking for our car. Nice fire pit location and picnic table. Park is very convenient to Cavendish and all area attractions. Only 3 channels OTA. Didn't try DISH due to all the trees. Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada), Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were in site 99 which was very private. Also there was only 2 other campers in the large loop and they were around the other side. So it was like we were camping all by ourselves. This site has a long narrow parking pad but then has a nice side square with picnic table and fire pit. If you are not good at backing in, then don't reserve this site as there are steep drop offs on either side of the narrow drive. The water and electric pedestal was down 5 wooden steps as there wasn't any room on the narrow drive for it. All roads within the campground are easy to navigate and there is great signage. The 24 mile drive from NB-1 to Fundy National Park is really bad for the first 8 miles and only sort of bad for the next 5. But once you get to the Park, the road is immaculate, as are all of the roads within the boundries. Cell service was OK. Didn't try the park WIFI. No OTA TV and DISH didn't work. Siris XM Radio worked great. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.
