Timberland Acres RV Park, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Large pull thru spaces are in the open and spacious. Length was about 100'. Wooded sites are back in and seem to be all seasonal. Roads are paved with gravel pads. DISH and Verizon worked good. Staff was friendly. Very quiet at night. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sagadahoc Bay Campground, Georgetown, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We were on the lower level past the office with an unobstructed view of the bay. There are only 7 sites down in that section with full hook-ups and can accommodate a big rig. The upper campground in the woods is mostly for tent or small trailers. Some of those sites have electric and water. There is a dump station on the lower level or they offer honey truck service. Both owners and their 2 dogs were very friendly and helpful. Office has a large selection of movies to borrow and return at no charge. Verizon had 3g service sometimes and only on phone not hotspot. Campground WIFI was only OK for light web browsing. We got all channels on DISH as SD only. Nothing OTA. Only gave 8 stars due to firepit had garbage in it from prior resident. 3 of the sites had occupants and instead of spreading us out and using every other site, we were all together. Lastly there is a regular residential can for every 2 spots so it filled up quickly and no lid provided. In spite of these minor issues we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sagadahoc Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort, Foxboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. It had everything. If was mostly empty during the week, but on the weekend it was packed. Seemed like it was families from the cities. Even though very busy, it was very quiet overnight. We were on site B11. It was very long and level. Great amount of pea-gravel. 2 sewer locations for your choice of convenience. 68 cable channels. Verizon was weak but doable. Park WIFI was terrible. We camped at Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park, Manheim, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a big family campground. As it was Spring Break and Easter weekend there were lots of kids. Kids were good, but parents stayed outside making noise until well after midnight, even though quiet hours are explained at check-in as beginning at 10:30pm. We were on site 344 which was high and dry, so when it rained there wasn't any issues. Very wooded so grass doesn't grow. Therefore mostly roots and mud at the sites. Pad was gravel which was fine. Lots of space between sites. Had to put a brick on hose to hold sewer hose in. Convenient to Hershey. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Big campground with lots of amenities. Rate reflects amenities but since it was cold and rainy we didn't use pool or any of the recreational games. We were on site 75 which is in the section that looks like a giant gravel parking with some grass/weeds between. It poured and then there were lots of deep puddles. However, next day, they did fill them in with fresh gravel. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Sites are very, very close together. Verizon worked great and so did DISH. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah River State Park, Bentonville, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little campground in the mountains along the Shenandoah River. No Verizon service at all. No calls, no data, no texts. We drove to the Visitor Center where we could get text messages and use their free WIFI to check emails. One couple told us that they could make calls only with AT&T in campground, but not data. Bathrooms weren't really clean, but not disgusting. Mostly just a little mold in corners, but if you wear shower shoes they were OK. Each shower room is a single with locking door. Lots of changing space and has a heater so room isn't cold. Hiking on the Bluebell trail was easy and very pretty. This was a good relaxing stop for a few days after being in Washington DC the week before. Sites were large and spread out. Very level and open. We camped at Shenandoah River State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were on site 40 which was 65' long back in with lots of space between sites. Gravel on the site was generous, so no thin spots. It rained once and drainage was good. Back-in was a little difficult around a dumpster and up a hill. Once up the hill the site was level. Very convenient to grocery store and about 7iles from Metro. The Refuge on Roanoke Island, Wanchese, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said, it is mostly residents living in 5th wheels or park models and there are just a few transient daily sites. The rental sites are waterfront. Manager allowed us to pull forward so the view was put our front window. We then ran the utilities under the coach. By pulling ad far forward without having tires on the grass, the utilities were about 6 feet from our door, so we didn't have the sewer right when we stepped outside. Sites are a little close, but not right on top of each other. At first water had slight sulphur smell, but after running for a bit, it went away. Probably because this site hadn't been used during off season. We were able to receive DISH with Tailgater on the picnic table. Verizon worked great. We camped at The Refuge on Roanoke Island in a Motorhome.

Carolina Beach State Park, Carolina Beach, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Great State Park. Lots of space between sites. Very wooded so we didn't try our DISH. However we received about 10 OTA stations. Verizon was full bars. We didn't have hook ups but Site #9 was the largest site we have ever stayed in at any park. It is a pull thru loop and next to it is a big large private area with pic icon table and fire pit. The area is big enough for 2 tents. Very private with the way the coach was parked. About 1 1/2 miles to Food Lion if you need anything. We rode our bikes on the NJ bike path that goes right behind it. We camped at Carolina Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Slight mix up with site number, but it was straightened out quickly. Office lady was helpful and friendly. Site M#1 was great as plenty of room and privacy on passenger side. Easy gravel roads to navigate withblots of signage. DISH had good reception. Didn't use park WIFI. Our Verizon Hotspot and phones had full reception. Quiet at night except for the trains. Jetty Park Campground, Cape Canaveral, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground. We stayed on 108 which is on the fenced side of the Inlet. Which we had been on 107 or 109 as then the water hookup would have been on correct side of RV. All even lots on this lane you have to run water hose under the RV to reach. Not a huge deal, but inconvenient. All sites on this side of the lane are very spacious. Fishing Pier and Beach within walking. Very friendly staff. We camped at Jetty Park Campground in a Motorhome.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Good state park. Sites wide enough but a little short. 35' class A backed all the way in and just enough room to park car paralle in front. Thick layer of pea gravel to park on. Drained really well during heavy rain. We were in site 14, which was directly across from bath house. Convienent if you need it, but not a good view. Campground doesn't have a separate tent area. On our last night, 4 campers with 2 tents were right next to us. We camped at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in a Motorhome.

Great overnight stop. We stayed here on our way to/from North Carolina. Had a pull-thru each time, which were long enough to not have to disconnect. Hook-ups at the very back of the site, so you need long cord and hoses with a Class A. Very quiet at night and this is with every site full. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely quiet. Easy on/off I-40. Staff friendly. Beautiful creek bordering the property and you can go in at your own risk. Sites are gravel surrounded by grass. Parking the toad is parallel in front of site only. If they put a little more gravel and less grass, then you would be able to park next to rig. Sites are a little close and some have the sewer connection near the neighbors picnic table. Luckily our site #21 had a little room. Creek sites would be worth the money if you have a rear window and can see the view. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Louis RV Park, St. Louis, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to everything. Only 2,5 miles to Arch and Busch Stadium. Broken asphalt with gravel for all sites. Sites double wide as they took out every other site utilities. So plenty of room for slides and tow vehicle. No grass except right outside gate. This is where to walk dogs. However people before us just let dog go on our car park space and didn't clean it up, so had to watch where walking when getting in and out of car. This morning a 5th wheel with very noisy diesel pick up was allowed to check in at 6:30am. Not sure why park allowed that. Very rude way to be awoken. Park felt safe but is in a sketchy part of town. Camp hosts very helpful. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.
