Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park, Saint George Island, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite park in Florida. Sites are well spaced among large pine trees. Easy walking access to the bay and to the gulf where there are miles if pristine sand beaches. Facilities were clean. Plenty of hot water for showers. Limited recycling. Lots of birds singing and calling in morning and at dusk. We camped at Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bike path from the park goes into "town". Doug's yellow seafood truck had excellent choices. We enjoyed the Blue Parrott restaurant. Our friends really liked Paddys for lunch. We love Up the Creek RW Bar in Apalachicola.

Junction/North Llano River RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easily accessible from I-10 but far enough away that you don't hear it. Large sites spread among old large pecan trees. A. very natural feel. Park is next to Llano river. We are very pleased we found this. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cooper Barbeque 3/4 of a mile north of the campsite offers good Texas BBQ in a rustic setting. We enjoyed our meal there.
