Harkers Island RV Resort & Campground, Harkers Island, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful RV park. The owners are local & very hands-on with every aspect of managing the park. Sites are full hook-up. The pool area & laundry are a kept very clean. The roads are all paved. There is a marina with slips & a boat storage area. There is a small, clean, sandy beach area on the sound. There is a long fishing pier with a well maintained cleaning area. The park has a very clean & enclosed dog park area. It located a short distance to the Cape Lookout Ferry. There is a star & two small, very good restaurants also close by & quickly reached by golf cart or bikes. Being from North Carolina, we were very excited to stay so close to the National Seashore at Cape Lookout. The park is very quiet & has a large group of permanent sites that are very well maintained by the owners. Unlike some RV parks in the area, the owners have a fairly strict code that permanent site leasers follow which makes this park definitely stand out in appearance & cleanliness. We enjoyed our stay & elected to lease a permanent site. We camped at Harkers Island RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

North Carolina State Fairgrounds Campground, Raleigh, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stay frequently at the State Fairgrounds Campground in Raleigh. Our child is a student at North Carolina State. The campground is directly across from Carter-Finley Stadium & PNC Arena. True, there are no bath houses or restrooms, but each site has water, electric & sewer hookups. The grounds are cleaned daily & the utilities are inspected every other day. Security makes rounds throughout the day & night. A busy horse show venue for North Carolina Horseman is located adjacent to the campground & the shows are easily visible from the campground. It is a great place to rest & relax before NC State football or basketball games. Also, very nice to camp there when concerts are at PNC. We camped at North Carolina State Fairgrounds Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
