Potholes State Park, Othello, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice green grass. Good size site with picnic table and fire pit. Lots of area to walk or ride a bike. Clean site on a gravel pad. Nice boat launch but no real beach with swimming. Good fishing around the reservoir just down the road or from a boat. The showers left much to be desired. Each shower was in a single room with no place to hang clothes or towels or keep clothes dry. Nice park and relaxing. We spent a week in site 6 and moved to site 35 for a week. Both sites were clean and nice. In site 35 we watched deer walk past us every morning. We camped at Potholes State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a small gas station and convenience store with cooked to order food across from the entrance to the park. For shopping and restaurants Moses Lake is about a 30 minute drive. No real good fishing from the park but a short drive and you can fish from shore. You must keep everything off the grass at night as the sprinklers run every night during the summer and things will get wet.

Chief Timothy Park - COE, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean site and restrooms/showers. Site had grass and concrete slab with picnic table. Road noise from the highway can be loud at times which is why I gave a rating of 9. A short drive to Clarkston and Lewiston for shopping, restaurants. No issue with spiders as stated in other reviews. Friendly and helpful park staff. We camped at Chief Timothy Park - COE in a Tent Trailer.
