Butterfly Camping Resort, Jackson, New Jersey

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two weeks in late September, and our trailer must have been pelted by 1000 acorns (no exaggeration, about 1 every 5 minutes) during our stay, and MANY during a storm one night. We need wifi for our jobs and it was not solid, dropping out 4-5 times per day, sometimes for 15 mins or more, and we were within 50 ft of the access point. Roads and sites are mainly dirt, and they get very messy when it has rained recently. We longed for grass or a better/bigger mat to wipe our feet on. Staff is very nice, and the campground is VERY quiet compared to others on the weekend. Seems like it's about 15 mins to get anywhere except to the gas station, but it's a nice quiet place. We camped at Butterfly Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

For kids, Jackson Jungle about 5 mins away is an awesome playground, with a huge play structure. Also has a VERY nice library and other playgrounds nearby.

Indian Rock RV Resort, Jackson, New Jersey

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed a weekend, barely used the restrooms, but saw enough to know this place has seen batter days. It's like it has the bones of a very nice resort: guard house (unattended for years), nice fences, large pool, wide sites, large grassy play area (used to be grassy), huge gathering hall, but now everything is in disrepair or needs maintenance badly. However, the staff here are super nice, eager to please, and helped us out when we got into a jam and had to leave early due to a family-related issue we couldn't control. That offsets a lot in my book. We camped at Indian Rock RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
