Rusk Depot Campground (formerly Rusk State Park - Rusk Unit), Rusk, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our campsite very much. Great bicycling throughout the park! However, splash pad would not work, and it took two calls to the office before maintenance took care of the problem. Women's restroom had extremely filthy toilets with dead bugs covering everything. The showers were "out of order" with missing tiles, torn up flooring, and no shower curtains. The men's room had slightly cleaner toilets but also had dead bugs everywhere. The shower was disgusting! Something very large and feathery fought and died in there, with bird droppings everywhere. Two maintenance men happened to show up to clean the restrooms. We observed them from our campsite. They went in, and came right out and put new locks on the doors to lock the place up tight. Definitely not worth $30 a night. We camped at Rusk Depot Campground (formerly Rusk State Park - Rusk Unit) in a Motorhome.
