Valley of Fires Recreation Area (BLM), Carrizozo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

A hidden gem of a location and campground. This is our second stay here. Get here early to get a location. Some leveling challenges but nothing too hard. We camped at Valley of Fires Recreation Area (BLM) in a Motorhome.

The View Campground, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a big rip-off. For the amount of money you're going to spend, stay nearby at a park with full hook-ups. You'll end up paying the $20 entrance fee no matter what. The website photos are photo shopped and the brochure lists an off-season (no dates actually given) rate of $50/night. And they have a NO PET policy! No hook-ups, no view, a hot gravel slot, minimal to no security, and pet unfriendly. We camped at The View Campground in a Motorhome.
