Robert Moses State Park (Thousand Island region), Massena, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

A few hiking trails start from the Visitor's center. There is a new building where we could get a WiFi connection. No food in the park and only two grocery stores open in Massena, which looks like it has seen better days (lots of closed businesses). Park is very large but underdeveloped. Seems that NY Hydro has the best part of it. Went to the St-Lawrence lock to see a ship going through it. The park rules do not seem like they are enforced. Friday evening was loud music and talking 'til midnight!! Hydro dam and St-Lawrence lock visitors center are both closed since 09/11. Nice park if you have bicycle. We camped at Robert Moses State Park (Thousand Island region) in a Travel Trailer.

Franconia Notch State Park, Lafayette Place Campground, Franconia, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Access to the park is very easy. The other side is that there is a lot of traffic noise since I-93 is very close to the campground. The Flumes, Pemigewasset Trail are must do activities. We had site 90 and a 16 foot trailer that we manage to get in. Access road within the park are narrow. Did not need internet or cell phone connection, so cannot say how reception was. No clean water fill-in station, no dumping station and no electricity, so be ready. We camped at Franconia Notch State Park, Lafayette Place Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Amherst Shore Provincial Park, Northport, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

$ are Canadian $. Camped in September and only a few sites were occupied. Sandy site, fairly big, with fire pit and picnic table. Internet available free at gatehouse (password required). Camp host were very kind to give information. Washroom and showers are very clean. Will camp again if we stop by. One of the very few good camping in Nova Scotia. We camped at Amherst Shore Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Golden Ears Provincial Park, Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stay at this park due to a mechanical problem with the car. Sites are big, no electrical service, no cell phone or internet services available. Park staff was not keen to help to solve issues. Showers are a desperate need for a refresh. We camped at Golden Ears Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.
