Seawall Campground (NPS Campground), Southwest Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Typical national park campground. No showers. There are water spigots located throughout. Our site was partially shaded with enough open sunlight for our solar panel. We had decent ATT 4G LTE service during our stay. Conveniently located to two good hikes close by - Wonder Land and Ship Harbor. We camped at Seawall Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Wolfe's Neck Oceanfront Camping (formerly Recompence Shore Campground), Freeport, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is also known as Wolfe's Neck Oceanfront Camping and is part of Wolfe's Neck Center, a nonprofit working farm which hosts many activities related to sustainable farming practices. We camped in the loop with 30 amp power and water hookups. The sites are smallish and not private if you are on the inside of the loop. Showers are located near the office as well as the farm cafe where food is available. They provide a pump out service on Tuesdays and Fridays for $20. There are many farm related activities available to participate in for a small fee. You can also wander around the barns for free. Our daughter attended Farm Camp during our stay. We camped at Wolfe's Neck Oceanfront Camping (formerly Recompence Shore Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Schoodic Woods Campground, Winter Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a top notch campground as far as national parks go. We stayed in loop B which is all pull through sites with 50 amp and water. The site is spacious with privacy between the sites. The only thing that would have made it better is if there were showers. We camped at Schoodic Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana, Woodworth, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night at Indian Creek. It is a very peaceful and beautiful place. We had a site right on the water. The reason I rate this campground so low is because every site in the front loop was taken by what appeared to be people who use the place as a fish camp. Every single site had an RV with tents set up, boats parked, and a lot of miscellaneous stuff. On top of that, there were quite a few confederate flags being flown. The check in staff was neither friendly nor courteous. We've been fulltiming in our RV for over a year and this was the worst place we have ever stayed. We camped at Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana in a Travel Trailer.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Amazing state park, more like a private RV park. The sites are spacious with adequate spacing and privacy between sites. Roads are easy to navigate. Full hook ups. No fire rings at each site which was ok with us. There are laundry facilities on site. Conveniently located to grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants. Private beach access via tram or you can ride your bike. The path to the beach is paved the entire way. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access to I-95. Pull through sites are large but a bit unlevel. The sites are fairly close together. No trees or privacy between sites. We only stayed here one night on our way south. We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Cone Resort, Freehold, New Jersey

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here one night after picking up our travel trailer from the dealership. The site was not level and was muddy since it had been raining for about 24 hours prior to arrival. It was difficult to get a reservation here; we had to call multiple times before we could get someone to confirm. Due to the time of year, the water was turned off. We camped at Pine Cone Resort in a Travel Trailer.
