Windy Cove, Campground B, Winchester Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 days. Was not aware that this is 95% ATVers (at least it was during our stay). It was very very noisy. Large family and friends camping together. Revving ATV's starting around 8 am and continuously till dark. we would have left and stayed somewhere else but the only decent RV park across the street was booked. It did have decent cell service. No WiFi. Maybe 4 or 5 OTA channels. Would not stay here again. We camped at Windy Cove, Campground B in a Motorhome.

AtRivers Edge RV Resort, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed only one night because they were booked. Would have loved to extend our stay. We were in a riverfront site with ample patio and a side spot for the toad. Check in was a pleasure and was escorted to the site and amenities were explained. The river is tidal so we got to see it at low tide and high tide. There is fishing. We had strong Verizon cell service and they also offered Wifi voucher that worked well. We would stay again! We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park on the middle of the Redwoods. Cement pad with a grassy area in between sites. Nice gift shop with local art, sculptures, and furniture. Sites were not shaded and had a fire pit and a plastic table. OTA Tv was non existent. No cell service unless you stood under their cell boost in the park or in the shop. Was a great place for a base to explore the Humboldt area. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here just for an overnight. Very new and clean. Gravel site with gravel roads. Wifi worked very well. Cable had 70+ stations. Cell reception was good. A new development and will be higher traffic than it gets now. Restaurants and Walmart are close by. Would stay again. We camped at Solstice Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Circleville RV Park, Circleville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park would have received a 10 if it was more of a destination spot. We stayed here 3 nights just as a break in the drive. It is great if you are an ATV'er. The young couple that own this just took it over recently and it is obvious in the work they have done. They bent over backwards to take care of any possible need we could have. They supplied the wood for the fire pit. Even brought another bundle and said take it with us if we didn't use it. They encouraged the use of water to clean the rig. They have 2 gas pumps and a small store. Printed off fun facts and places in the area to visit. We would stay again! We camped at Circleville RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Mesa Ranch, Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

We are members of Coast to Coast and have not been able to stay at any of the parks for one reason or another. We were very pleased to pull up to this Ranch. We had a brand new couple checking us in so it was a little rocky there. Our stay was free but we upgraded to 50amp for $5/day. Originally the site they gave us (with incorrect directions) was 30amp so I had to take the toad back to get re assigned. They apologized and claimed newbie status. They showed me the map where 50amp was and told us to take anyone we wanted that wasn't taken, and just let them know later which one. There are very few 50 amp sites available.

The sites are tiered so the higher up you go the better view of Blue Mesa Reservoir you get. The hookups all worked well. We had no cell service and had to pay for Wifi ($12/wk) which was reasonable but slow. They had cable for TV.

They have a lot of amenities that we did not use like bocce ball court, horseshoes, mini golf, lake for 12 and under to fish, pool, spa, adult clubhouse, children clubhouse, and cabins for rent as well. The roads were very navigatable and paved. It is situated across from Blue Mesa where you can take your boat or fish. There is ATV access available as well.

It is about 8 miles west of the cute little town of Gunnison. It was not busy when we first got here but filled up quickly for the holiday weekend coming up. There are a decent amount of permanent/monthly/ seasonal sites but seem to be taken well care of. We camped at Blue Mesa Ranch in a Motorhome.

Pleasant Valley RV Park of Howard, Howard, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were only going to stay one night on a change of direction due to weather north, but stayed two because we liked it so much. It is off the highway enough that you don't really have that noise and it is along the Arkansas River and in a nice woodsy setting. The spaces are pretty close and a lot of trees. There are a lot of 5th wheel "vacation/weekend" homes here but they are very well maintained and not occupied all the time. We had one on either side and didn't see anyone the 2 days. There is zero Verizon cell service but a decent Wifi. No OTA channels to speak of either, so it was a very nice disconnect from tech and connect to nature! We would definitely stay again! We camped at Pleasant Valley RV Park of Howard in a Motorhome.

Haggard's RV Campground, Pueblo West, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We were supposed to stay only one night as a stop over to bring the rig in for service in Fountain and then head north to Monument to stay for 4 days and visit family in Denver. We were trying to stay ahead of a storm as we traveled 4 hours. The storm finally hit us when we were 5 mins from the campground and got pummeled with quarter size hail! GPS takes you 2 miles past campground to make a uturn when you really could have made the left into the campground but we were fighting the hail and didn't notice. So we wound up having to come right back into the storm to get to the park. Check in was very friendly and was told the turn would be tight due to someone parking their 5th wheel too far back. (why they didn't have them correct I don't know) But we maneuvered it. All hookups worked well. They are on well water so a filter is highly recommended if you don't have one. Had a dog park and a walking trail and propane. We left and put the rig in for maintenance and service. We decided to go check out the park we were going to because it sounded like it got snow the night before from that storm. 8 Inches + That is not our idea of fun! We canceled that rez and rebooked another night here and decided to head back west instead of north for now. They were very accommodating and friendly. We would stay an overnight here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 days here. Close to Santa Fe attractions (the Plaza, Georgia O'Keefe gallery/museum, etc). The park was nicely tiered but still a little on the close side. Had a nice patio with a picnic table. Quirky metal art sculptures kept with the Santa Fe look. Hookups were no problem. Over the air gave a few station selections. Wifi was spotty but okay. We would stay here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elephant Butte Lake State Park, Lions Beach Campground, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 days in Lions Beach Loop A. We had a nice view but the sites toward the end had even better views of the lake. Our site was on the path to a boat launch and in front of a speed bump so we had quite a bit of traffic and noise. They had a covered patio with picnic table and fire pit. We were amazed at the campers in their 5th wheel and motorhomes camped right on the beach. They had a special vehicle who could tow you out and back but don't think I would risk my home like that! The lake was very active with boater, jet skiers and day campers. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Elephant Butte Lake State Park, Lions Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Boot Hill RV Resort, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way North. It was a Sunday and the office wasn't staffed. They put our site information on their board and requested cash or check to be placed in the envelope and put in the box or you could pay the next day when they got there. The site we were given was long and level for the most part. No cable and only had a couple OTA stations. Wifi was spotty. We enjoyed White Sands National Monument! We saw the wine and pistachio tastings and tours but did not have time to enjoy them. We had not interaction with the staff so can not comment. It was a nice enough stop over but not for a long stay. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 nights as a stop over. Did not expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and friendly. The park was secure, spacious, neat and had a good view. The sites were gravel as was the roads, but they had grassy spots with park like amenities. We received discounts to Meteor Crater Natural monument and also to the gas station. We would stay again. Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We wound up staying here last minute because the park we were booked at was not acceptable. Very clean, great amenities, and big rig friendly. We were escorted to our cul-de-sac site which was different. The sites were asphalt with gravel landscaping. We had a wonderful view of the mountains. The lot was completely full but still felt like you had space. It is across the highway from a casino which is convenient for dining and such. They had a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the clubhouse for anyone who wanted to participate with tacos and you could bring a pot of something. Everyone was very friendly. We stayed 4 nights and would stay again! We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Verde River RV Resort & Cottages , Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We booked this stay online. We were given a weekly rate at $178 plus taxes which worked out to about $30/night. We saw the reviews about how they are fixing up and re-doing a lot of the park and were hoping for improvement when we got there. We arrived on a Sunday and picked up our assigned spot at the office since no one was in the office. The site they assigned us to was cramped in between 2 long stay vehicles one with 2 big dogs running unleashed and a tree that probably would not allow for us to put out slides. There were other sites vacant so we looked at the ones in the box assigned to others arriving that day and any that would have worked were already assigned. We looked at their policy about canceling and said they would charge $10 for it. They had already charged our credit card $30. We left them a note apologizing for the cancelation and told them we could see good things happening, but we were heading elsewhere for the night. We emailed them as well that night and said we would be expecting a $20 credit. They have made no attempt at communicating with us or given us the credit. You can see that they are making improvements and hopefully in the future it will be a nice park. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
