Hoquiam River RV Park, Hoquiam, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park itself is good, but the people make it great! We stayed for a week in our motorhome with our dogs and had a fantastic time. The managers were super helpful and friendly and everyone from, the long term residents to the people staying for one night, were also very friendly. The river flowing at the back of the park is beautiful and the 9 acres of trails next to the park gave both us and the dogs a good place to exercise. Although it is next to Rt. 101 there is no road noise and no railroad trains going through at night with their horns blowing. The voltage stayed good even thought we were using up to 50 amps at times. Definitely recommend this place for anyone with a big rig. We camped at Hoquiam River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hoquiam River does not have much to do, but the coast is close and there are a lot of places to go to enjoy the ocean. Try Copalis beach for a great hike. Lake Quinalt is also a must see in the area and if you do go there, leave enough time - 1.5 hr - to drive all the way around the lake. The rain forest is spectacular.

Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park in an interesting area. The owners are very accommodating and worked with us when we had to extend our stay from 1 week to 3 weeks. We will again visit this park in our travels next year. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Anaconda is a very nice small town with a lot of interesting history. Donivans restaurant in Anaconda is very good for dinner. The park itself is very dog friendly and has an open area to thow balls, frisbee's etc for your dog.

Spokane RV Resort, Deer Park, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very neat and clean. The pads are level concrete and the grass is in very good condition. Our lot looked out over a golf course. That was the good part. The bad part is that this is the unfriendliest park we have encountered on our 8 month trip. The only times we spoke with the camp "hosts" were when we were told we were breaking the rules. Never a "hello" or "let us know if you need anything". Some of the lots are privately owned and the owners are also very unfriendly. One actually yelled at our neighbor for letting their dog get too close to his property. The park is very concerned that you respect their property but does not show the same level of concern for the renters' property. The sprinkler system is on every night and it covered the side of our RV with water spots that are very difficult to remove because the water is so hard. In addition, they mowed the lawn and were not concerned about the fact that they blew the grass clippings all over the side of the bus. We will not stay here in the future although we will be back in the area next year. We camped at Spokane RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park at the River, Joseph, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park was wonderful. Although the sites were close, the WiFi almost non existent and neither the cell nor satellite worked this is the favorite park of our 8 month trip. The park is right by a beautiful river and the surrounding scenery is incredibly spectacular. We spent some time with the new owners and they are absolutely delightful - get to know them if you plan to stay here. They have some fascinating stories about their adventures. We camped at Park at the River in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many things to do in the area. Joseph is a charming town and it and the surrounding area reminded us of Switzerland. Vali's is a great restaurant and the tram to the top of the mountain provides some beautiful views.

Marina Dunes RV Park, Marina, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

First, let me say that I joined this to write a review about this park. It is a hidden gem for anyone with dogs as there is a large area right outside the park where dogs can go off leash and a beach where they can also be off leash. The manager and his staff are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful in any situation. Considering the excellent condition of the park and the fact that Monterey and the peninsula are under 10 miles away, we thought the price was very reasonable. The only negative is the proximity to the highway, but many of the parks we have been in are also close to a highway and had highway noise. We are in a 45 ft. motorhome and had no problems getting into or out of the park. We camped at Marina Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.
