Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for Ashland graduation (June)... so much better than staying in a hotel. Our family joined us for campfires, dips in the lake, and the kids tried out the water slides. We took a beautiful hike along the lake (each for poison oak). The bathrooms were clean and the staff was extremely nice. Even though it was warm in town, we had a pleasant breeze at the lake. It was perfect! We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

So much to do in Ashland and at Emigrant Lake. There is a nearby golf course (Oak Knoll), amazing restaurants, and fabulous entertainment. Next time we wat to try the Stand-Up Paddleboards for rent at Emigrant Lake. Make sure you get a reservation... The Point at Emigrant Lake is popular.

Howard Prairie Lake Resort, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Love the store, restaurant, and marina! We camped in the south loop under big pines and near the lake. Great hiking trail and fun fishing jetty. We rented a boat and bought fishing tackle at the marina. The soft serve ice cream is famous in Southern Oregon. The Jackson County staff was kind and helpful. We camped at Howard Prairie Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Limited cell service in the mountains, but it was perfect to unwind and relax. So fun to watch the small yachts and sailboats in the lake. I wish we could've stayed longer!

Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park), Central Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The design of the park is superb! Easy, pull-through sites, wide roads, and good signage. The restrooms were clean and immaculate. The paved paths, fenced dog area, and well-lit parking lot/restrooms make the park accessible and safe. My kids loved the grass and fire pits... and free, high-speed wifi. The registration building is lovely (free coffee too). Friendly staff and good fishing in the ponds. Close to amenities. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The registration building opened the day I arrived at the park -- easy check-in, friendly staff, free coffee... great place to relax. Wi-fi was fast and available throughout the park. I was a little worried about freeway noise, but it wasn't bad at all. Easy access to I-5, restaurants, mini golf, and travel center.
