Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

Just the two of us staying in a pull thru, full hook site in the Highlands. Nice and shady, good neighbors, and wonderful staff. We had to move once because of uneven ground, could not find a spot to level our camper. The campground is in the process of converting or upgrading numerous sites to deluxe which includes a patios, stone fire pit, built in grill, metal chairs & table instead of the wood picnic table, and gravel, level site (pull thru & back in). There is Free Wi-Fi and cable, plus a store and office combo along with campground is dog friendly. We camped at Boston / Cape Cod KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Shady Acres Campground, Carver, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I enjoyed an extended weekend at this campground located in Carver Massachusetts. We stayed in one of their Premium Pull Thru Full Hook up Sites. The site included a brick patio, stone fire pit with a covered area which covered the picnic table. All the roads and pull thru sites in this new section are gravel. This campground is pet friendly, has Free Wi-Fi, has a pool, and pond (swiming along with catch and release fishing). The site was big enough for my travel trailer (35 feet) and my full size pick up truck plus room for another truck or car behind my RV as well as along side my vehicle in front. The sides have a large grass strip between the next site and ours. One thing missing but work is in progress of shade. Trees have been planted but will take time. Their intention is to convert every pull thru site in this new section to a premium with patio and a cover over all picnic tables. I have been here the past two years plus this year and will return again. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Country Aire Campground, Charlemont, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has mainly pull thru sites, some with FHU others W&E only. They have tent sites and cabin rentals. Campground roads are all gravel and sites are all grass. The sites are arranged so your neighbors front door faces yours and all utilities are behind you, so the space between campers is huge. The office & store has cooked food for take out, plus soft serve ice cream, fresh made, daily coffee, donuts, and coffee rolls plus maple syrup and fire wood. The Maple Syrup is made on site from tapping trees on their property. A pool is on site and the campground is dog friendly. For some reason the seasonals and the rentals are separated. FYI - the coffee, donuts, & maple syrup are priced less than most chains. Close by is the Deerfield River for water rafting and some areas even had zip lining. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. We camped at Country Aire Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Maple Park Campground & RV Park (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park , East Wareham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I along with our two dogs enjoyed a week long stay from the Saturday before the 4th of July till the Saturday after. We stayed on Main Street in a full hook up, back in site that was very wide. It provided us with a picnic table and fire pit. There is no cable or wi-fi. You must use your antenna for TV reception. They have a pond for swimming plus a dog pond. On the 4th of July they had a born fire in the middle of the pond then some fire works that seemed to never end (at least 1/2 hour plus). This is our second time there and the staff a super friendly, courteous, and helpful. The roads are all dirt including the back in and pull thru sites. The campers we were surrounded by were equally as friendly. Guest are welcome at the rate of $10 per day. We will return, but will make our reservation upon check in for future verses check out for 4th of July week. There is a store and ice cream shop on premise, plus daily fire engine rides for the kids. We camped at Maple Park Campground & RV Park (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Black Bear Campground, Florida, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a back in gravel site with full hook ups. Also included were picnic table, fire pit, and Wi-Fi. They are also pet friendly resort with laundry facilities. The staff is very helpful and friendly and a store at the office. The best part they have bus tours from campground to New York City. Upper camp sites are newer, but close to one another. There are pull thru sites along with back in and roads are paved. Best part was friendly neighbors on both sides as well as throughout park. We camped at Black Bear Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Americamps RV Resort, Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Pros - Back in & pull thru gravel sites. Full hook ups (w-s-e 30/50), pet friendly, with wifi, picnic tables, and fire pits. Road are paved and a pet park is available. If given an option, pay the extra for a pull thru for more space, considered to be yours. Cons - all sites are on top of one another with no space to move. You step out of your RV to your neighbors utility hook ups near your picnic table. Your space consist of a car length but half the width on back in. Pull thru space is also limited but you have a full car width & length to call yours. We camped at Americamps RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

CreekFire Motor Ranch, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I were here last year for a few days last and loved it. They had just opened in October 2017. We stayed in site#4 (April 2018) and now site#13 (here for two weeks). Both sites were back in gravel sites with full hook ups (W-S-E 20/30/50). Both came with a cement patio for the picnic table, gravel for fire pit area, cable (Direct TV) and WiFi (daily sign on for free service was required otherwise there was a charge). Rubbish pick up by staff daily and all the roads are paved and campground is pet friendly. They have pull thru and back in sites also lake front. A restaurant is in the process of being built at the lakeside area. There is a shuttle that leaves three times daily to downtown Savannah. They have a reception/store combination and outside is the pool area. There staff is more than friendly, helpful, and courteous. I can not say enough about this place and will return again when camping in this area. We camped at CreekFire Motor Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I stayed with our two dogs in a back in gravel site with full hook up (W-S-E 30a) plus cable, wi-fi, firepit, and picnic table. Due to the time of year we were there the park was not full but quite a few campers. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Those campers nearby were respectful of others property and very friendly. There were some deluxe sites with a grill, patio, swing, and chairs with a plastic picnic table instead of wood. Interior roads were gravel and on going work was to add camp sites and landscape surroundings. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Travel Trailer.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The site we were in at this campground was a pull through with full hook up connections (water, sewer, electric) with Wi-Fi, picnic table, and fire ring. I had to laugh because we were in the middle of farm country, every direction you looked (corn, soy, & wheat). There is a gorgeous lake one is able to walk around and also it is available for those in tents. It is rather dark there at night, no lights other than your RV or flashlight. The owners were pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful. The park is dog friendly. We stayed at this campground in our travel trailer. Black Bear Campground, Florida, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

These sites are full Hook Up (W-S-E) on well leveled sites of back-in and pull thru. They also offer free Wi-Fi, cable TV, picnic tables, & fire rings. This campsite is dog friendly, but you must have and show proof of rabbi vaccine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed before Memorial Day when it was quiet. They have a store, laundry facilities, dump station, shower, and restroom facilities. It looks like they have done a lot of work in this campground to make it presentable and bigger. A plus is, they offer NYC Bus Tours from their campground. See their activity calendar. The first hill beyond the office was a tough one until around the corner and to the top. We camped at Black Bear Campground in a Travel Trailer.

St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA, Eureka, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

To say the least it was a busy weekend at this KOA campground. There are numerous pull thru and back in sites with full hook up along with cable, WiFi, picnic tables, and fire rings. Some sites have a cement or stone patio with table and chairs depending on what you are willing to pay for a night stay. There are also cabins for rent. This park is dog friendly with a dog park and caters to children with a pool, rental tricycles, large jumping pillow, playground, and motorized train ride on weekends only. The resort has laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, horseshoe pits, ping pong tables, basketball court, propane filling station, along with a dump station. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and courteous to all. If I had to state anything negative, it would be the children throughout the park running wild. I must warn the adults to be very careful driving throughout the park for this reason. This is more so on weekends than weekdays. This park is Kid friendly. BEWARE when Driving. This campground is within 30 minutes of downtown St. Louis. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Travel Trailer.
