Byrd's Branch Campground, Elkin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Hidden gem for a peaceful getaway. We stayed in site 7 at the which backs up to farmland. Creek behind us. Nice firepit area, small clean campground. No pool or kids activities but we wanted peace and quiet and this was the perfect place. Owners are super nice. Small town but some nice restaurants and many wineries to tour in the area. We camped at Byrd's Branch Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Salt Lick Creek COE, Gainesboro, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Our site in the Woodland area was very close together and trees made it hard to position with our slide out. There are no trash cans anywhere just a dumpsters so its kind of annoying when you are picking up after your pet. Our neighbors had 2 very large dogs that they tied to trees and allowed to bark all night. There is NOOO cell service. The picnic table was covered in green mold and not usable. The water is very pretty and its peaceful and quiet setting if you want to be off the grid. We camped at Salt Lick Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Cove Lake State Park, Caryville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Site was so close that the neighbors water sprocket was right by our door. Sites are hard to get into, park was crowded. We reserved a spot by the water but apparently didn't matter as others ran in and out of our site the entire time. Tent campers next door took over our picnic table. Will not return. Park and water are beautiful but not impressed with campground. We camped at Cove Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cumberland Mountain State Park, Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean quiet park. Plenty of room between spaces and a nice living area. Long driveway with room for truck and camper. Only issue was the sun, we were in a spot that the sun was hitting us in the afternoon so check to be sure you are in the right angle. We camped at Cumberland Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.
