Belden Hill Campground, Harpursville, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived at the Park my mom went in to register and was met by a newer employee who was quite pleasant. The owner came in and was quite the opposite, very short with everyone and rather rude. Now the park itself was clean and well taken care of. But if you need assistance with anything, good luck. The morning we were leaving we discovered our RV had a flat tire; being from Canada our cell phones did not work in the park. We went to the office to discover it wasn't open until 1pm, but the owner saw us outside and rudely asked us what we were doing. We explained about needing to use the phone to get someone to fix our tire and she very reluctantly allowed us to call a toll-free number. Her husband then came out and was just as unwelcoming as she was. Considering we were guests at the park, we would only assume that some sort of customer service be present. Luckily we were able to get our tire fixed and leave as we would not want to spend another night somewhere we weren't welcome. Our site was a good size; howeve,r another couple traveling with us was put in a pull-through RV site next to us, and had another RV gone into the spot next to them, there maybe would have been only 10 feet between the two RVs. Seems like it was once one site and they shoved in another electrical and sewer hookup in the middle to get more campers in. We camped at Belden Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a wonderful restaurant a couple miles down the road (turn right out of the RV park, its 2ish miles down on the left) called the Hitchin' Post Tavern. Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food!
