Stayed during Memorial Day weekend which was very busy. Overall the park is very rustic but the bathrooms and showers are clean. The pool seemed clean. There's a large playground with basketball hoop, swings & sea-saw for kids. The staff was very nice, readily available and helped as needed. The staff was very easy-going and accommodating to last-minute requests and upgrading.
The site is a mixture of overnighters and people who stay with their RVs for the season. With all the campsites full on the holiday weekend, it was very tight. Power and water are available at many of the sites, and others are primitive.
I think this would be a very nice campsite on a quieter weekend. The game room was older with a pool table, air hockey & pin ball machine. It is not a campsite with Wi-Fi and all the amenities. Don't expect hours of entertainment in the game room. It's the kind of campsite that you would relax by the fire, perhaps read, nap on a blanket in the field, play frisbee & enjoy nature. We camped at Highland Campgrounds in a Truck Camper.
We did see tons of red headed woodpeckers flitting around the campsites.
