Mitchell KOA, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. Owner obviously has a great deal of pride in it as it is well kept. We have been to places that call themselves resorts and are nowhere near this place. Nice beautiful setting under big oak trees. They are well trimmed so as to be able to navigate through. They have a few sites that they put big rigs on that are perfect-very long, shaded but still clear line of sight to SW for satellite, plenty of gravel on site, but lots of grass also. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mitchell KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate at Cattleman's, Depot, and Full-belly Deli. All were excellent. Be sure to go to the balcony at Corn Palace and get on corncam.com. We were able to wave to our family and friends who logged on. Took a picture of ourselves on it with nice screen shot on our phone.

Houston East RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean park. Level site. We needed an overnight traveling I-10. Would be an excellent park if there was a little more room on interior roads in spots. We didn't unhook and were lucky all the sites didn't have vehicles on them or we might not have been able to make a couple of turns when leaving. We camped at Houston East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $120.00
Overall Rating:

Great place. Easy to navigate and very clean. Very popular. Only site available to us was a premium lot which had a screened-in gazebo. Sites are level and paver stones. So convenient to action in The Quarter. Great pool and courtyard. We were in site 36 which is far from overhead highway so noise was minimal. They have created a really nice place in a great location. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Recreation Plantation RV Resort (55+ park), Lady Lake, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Older park that was not built for big rigs. We got one of the few concrete pads near office. 42 MH and toad barely fit. Staff is courteous and really tries to help out. They are building a new section that is more suitable for big rigs. Location is great. We camped at Recreation Plantation RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

John Prince Park Campground, Lake Worth, Florida

Overall Rating:

Nice county park in a heavily populated area. Very convenient to beaches. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Roads into campground easy to navigate for a big rig. Interior roads okay, but a few people might jut out into roadways with their vehicles. Would stay here again. We camped at John Prince Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $125.00
Overall Rating:

Nicest park we ever stayed at. To say upscale is an understatement--it is Naples. We were on a cul-de-sac lot with a fantastic view. Great pool. Some activities. Huge site. We could have parked two coaches and four cars. We camped at Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at BV several times. One of our favorite places to stay. Spacious and clean sites. Love the lazy river pool. Great access to huge Gulf State Park trails. Many great places to eat nearby-The Gulf, Anchor, Luna, Doc's, Ruby Slipper, Hurricane, Brick and Spoon, Moe's, Rotollo, and Cobalt just to name a few. A newer upscale restaurant, Fin and Fork, is very close. Highly recommend. Check out Tuesday night special.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Oasis is a great place to stay. Many folks use it as an overnight because of its convenience, but Amarillo does have a few good things to do and see. We stayed on site 163 which is in an area where there are very long sites. Hookups are great. Interior roads are plenty wide (even though a few folks parked their vehicles jutting out onto road). We have stayed here before, but this time we stayed three nights to explore a few more things. Big Texan, Palo Duro Canyon, Texas musical, Lizzie Mae's Gift Shop, Cadillac Ranch, Sizemore RV Museum, and the Panhandle Plains Museum. We plan to stay there again soon on a pass thru. Oasis is great-not a Resort, but not priced like one either. Good value. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tons of things to do in and around Amarillo. Big Texan (limo picks you up at Oasis), Panhandle Plains Museum (allow at least 3 hours), Palo Duro Canyon (drive through even if you don't want to hike), Texas the Musical, Ed Sizemore RV Museum, Cadillac Ranch, and Lizzie Mae's Gift Shop to mention a few.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nicely kept park. A few places where interior roads got a little narrow, but nothing to worry about. The sites are so long that no one needs to have any vehicles sticking off sites. Good hookups. Level long sites. Very convenient off main road. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Did have a campground rule we have never seen before-no Outside TV's-so a dealbreaker on football weekends. Office closed on Sunday, but we were left info for our site. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only), Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Not really a campground, but it has everything you need while waiting on getting coach repaired. Free if waiting on warranty work, $20.oo if not. Best part is being with other Tiffin owners and what you can learn from them. The ladies that run the campground are incredibly courteous, pleasant, professional, and good at their job! Most sites are pull-through, but a few are back-in. We camped at Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

All back-in sites in a big gravel lot, but has its pros. Plenty of room to manuver, good connections, all sites satellite-friendly, room to park toad alongside coach. Although not on-site, the lady running the park is very courteous and responsive and will accept reservations. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Red Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Birmingham South Campground, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for an overnight. It is a great park. We had a large pull through with plenty of room. Hookups were great. No problem leveling. I had read reviews about the roads being tight, but we had no problem in our 40' MH and toad attached. I guess if other campers parked their toads sticking out on roads, there could be a problem in places, but the roads themselves are plenty wide. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Birmingham South Campground in a Motorhome.
