About Sean_Michelle

We literally jumped into the Deep End of the Pool and are learning to swim. We bought our RV (APR 2017) and we are going full time in it starting in July 2017. We are both retired and figuring things out one day at a time.

Devil's Den State Park, West Fork, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The facility was very clean and very ample for the vehicle and tow vehicle. There was a large concrete pad, water, sewer, and electric. The park however was in a black hole and about 15 miles from the interstate on a double lane road that was quite tight. No wifi and cell provided for some issues but the stay was cozy. We camped at Devil's Den State Park in a Motorhome.

Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The Park was at the end of their season and the waterslide and pool had shut down but the facilities and the spacing were still very good. We were able to set up a fence for our dogs and had plenty of space. The only drawback was the cell service was non-existent and the wifi in our spot was poor. We had to go to the main office area for the wifi. Cable was provided. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

The area is very nice. Being here in Custer put us in the center of many activities. We hit all the sites! Grab a burger at Black Hills Burger & Bun Co.

Big Sioux Recreation Area, Brandon, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very Nice campground close to I-90 and 229. All spots were back in, 50AMP, and very spacious. The park was a nice park and we were able to easily walk the dogs. We stayed here one night. Cost was 20$ and 7$ state park car fee. We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Sea Mist RV Campground at the Dam Neck Annex (Military FamCamp), Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first RV Park experience, EVER! It was a good one too. Very quiet. The beach was one Sand Dune over. We had a nice pad with picnic table and everything you needed. The base is kind of remote and seemed like it was being shut down but otherwise this was gorgeous. The showers and bathroom were really clean! We camped at Sea Mist RV Campground at the Dam Neck Annex (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Getting in and out of this location isn't bad. getting thru the gate and their complex serpentine barrier obstacle is another story, LOL. If I have one tip for the area....stay off any minor road in the entire area. Roads are washed out easily. Single lane and very narrow.

Short Stay Navy Outdoor Recreation Area (Military FamCamp), Moncks Corner, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We didn't have as much time as we would have liked to stay at this campground. We arrived late at the gate and were let in to check in at the main desk. Our reservation was lost and while I was not happy they were extremely gracious to help me find a suitable spot for our RV. The location is on the water and beautiful. There is a dump station nearby. Check in before the gates close at 5pm. We camped at Short Stay Navy Outdoor Recreation Area (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

We ran a race at The Francis Marion Forrest just down the road. There was a chick-fil-a and lots of shopping very close by!
