Circle CG Farm Campground, Bellingham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in some serious need of maintenance and upgrading. For $50/night I expect the roads to be more than just dirt and cracking upheaved concrete. The sites range from ok to dirt pits. A small rain will have your tires sinking into the mud. The roads are not well marked, you could almost be pulling into an RV site before realizing that it is not a road. The 'street signs' are hard to see, set far back from the actual road. The streets are one way, but no one way markers. That itself doesn't warrant a 1 star review. What got me was the sheer amount of rules and how they were presented. You are a guest at will and your stay can be terminated without notice. No retractable leashes EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY?? You cannot bring in outside firewood, even if it is from the gas station across the street (you are welcome to buy theirs of course). You can't use your own washer or dryer (you are welcome to pay for theirs). If you break either rule, Terminated. Look I get it, there are a lot of people who disregard the rules, but treating people like they are children by default leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If somebody breaks the rules, deal with them kindly on a 1-on-1 basis, but developing a list of rules (by the way, there is more than 1 page of these and even these tell your to refer to the website for MORE rules), and then posting signs all over reminding people of these rules is not the way of handling this. If you were running a resort, an $8 visitor fee would be warranted, and a $10 overnight guest fee. These are outrageous extra visitor rates for a time period when the pool is closed and your 'lawn' is muddy. I get extra people cost extra money, but not $10/night extra, that is just ridiculous. We camped at Circle CG Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

Denver Meadows RV Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

If you are thinking of staying here after reading these reviews and wondering 'can it be that bad' or 'maybe it has changed' or 'wow there are a lot of picky people' - well you are wrong. Unfortunately I have a 7AM appointment for service on my RV or else we cannot continue our trip and this was the closest RV park with availability otherwise I would just drive away and forget about the 67 dollars it is costing us for the evening. It is dirty, rocky, not pleasant to look at. Twinned up with your neighbors door so no privacy. Literally a parking lot and dirt lot. Some sites have trees but the majority do not. Drove to the nearest grocery store, saw 4 cops patrolling, homeless people living in cart 'forts', teenage kids hanging around in the parking lot doing nothing (would like to say 'hoodlums' or 'gangs' but trying to give them the benefit of the doubt). So far the worst RV park I have ever stayed in, and hoping it stays that way. We camped at Denver Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

If you get one of the interior pull through sites, those are very nice. Unfortunately, those were not available, so we had to squeeze into a back in site which barely fit us. Better than nothing being available. The hookups were weird, power and water were on the passenger side. My only complaints about the park were the rules! Kids can't be in a fenced playground without adult supervision. Kids can't be in the spa AT ALL. But they have no problem charging an 11 year old as an 'adult' when paying for the site. Not sure if it was the park staff or some random crotchety guy, but I was going 11-12 MPH (I have a digital dash, I know) and he literally stood up and yelled at us for speeding (speed limit is 10). Everyone was friendly. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Fall City, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

No sewer hookups, knew that going in. But it means you have to use their showers. Only 1 facility open before 9AM, was busy one day so had to wait for a shower. Dirty. Didn't get very hot. Worst issue is that there is little to no privacy. Showers are in public bathroom style stalls where you get to see the hairy legs of the guy next to you. Don't bend over or you might see too much. One day had a 6'4" tall guy in the shower next to me and he could easily see over the partition. Hi buddy. Don't show up your first night past 'curfew' (8PM non-peak, 10PM peak) or you will have to park outside of the gate overnight as nobody will let you in. Once I realized this, I had to drive 8 hours non-stop to try to make it in on time. Yes it says this in the email, but i've never experienced this before and really didn't think about it. At $50 a night I expect full hook ups. Also no wifi except in the building. Dirt roads, dirty and muddy, broken picnic table and broken 'fire pit'. Absolutely will not come back to this place. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.
