Moab KOA, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large KOA conveniently located right off the main highway, US-191. The sites and roads in the park are gravel with most of the sites being pull through. There are a large number of tent and cabin sites around the edges of the park. The park has a nice pool area that was popular during our stay, clean bathrooms and showers and an off leash dog run area for our four legged friends. The wifi only worked occasionally. As with most KOA parks, the price is a little higher than it should be, but you get the peace of mind of knowing that the campground will almost always be in good shape. We camped at Moab KOA in a Motorhome.

Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley , Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

With the parks in and around Jackson Hole, you pay for the location. We are glad we picked this park because it was very near the Moran side of the Grand Teton NP while also giving easy access to the south entrance of Yellowstone. The views of the Tetons from the park were fantastic. The sites and interior roads are gravel with a small grass area with picnic table at each site. The wifi at the park worked great. They have multiple locations with showers and bathrooms located around the park. The park is part of a restaurant, bar and convenience store. We highly recommend the wings and burgers at the restaurant as they were just what we needed after a long day of hiking in the Tetons. We camped at Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley in a Motorhome.

Rawlins KOA, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We needed a stop in Rawlins for a single night to break up a long drive and picked the KOA. The park is right off the freeway, but we had very little noise from the traffic. The roads and sites are gravel and most of the sites are pull through. Our site was just long enough for us park and leave the car attached overnight. Each site has a small concrete pad with a table and privacy wall to help block some of the wind that is frequent in the area. We did not check out the restrooms or showers as we were only there a few hours. Staff during checkin was great. Their wifi worked fine and they had cable at each site. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Rawlins KOA in a Motorhome.

Spruce Lake RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

A great park right along the Big Thompson River in Estes Park. The sites in the park are dirt and organized with most being back in. There is a small grass area with a picnic table next to each site. There are not many trees in the park, so satellite service will work in most sites. The park had reasonable bathrooms and showers along with a fishing pond and playground area by the pond. The wifi worked fine and they had cable service that worked great. The only downside for us at the park is that they don't accept mail for their visitors. Given the size of their office staff, we were disappointed that we could not get our mail and packages while we stayed here. We camped at Spruce Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA , Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

A quiet and convenient park in Montrose. The sites are mostly pull through with easy access to each site from the interior roads. The park has a playground, decent showers and bathrooms, pool, hot tub and dog walk area. The park gives great access to Montrose and is a short drive from Black Canyon National Park. The wifi worked decently and the staff was easy to work with during check in and our stay. There are quite a few trees, but we were lucky to get satellite service. We camped at Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Polson Motorcoach Resort , Polson, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

The resort is an owner/resident style that is limited to only class A motorcoaches. The sites all face Flathead lake and are built in tiers along a small hill. The sites are all different with some sites gravel parking and other paved. There are differing build outs on each site depending on the preference of the owner of that particular site. The office is shared with the KOA which is located on the adjacent property. The park has a small workout room and business center along with a bathroom, shower and laundry building that were all clean. The wifi worked decently for most of our stay. Given the price and the minimal amenities, we were not impressed. We have stayed at several of these exclusive owner/resident resorts around the country and we put this one towards the bottom of that list. We camped at Polson Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One of the G7 resorts which has locations in Idaho, Washington and Arizona. The park felt new and it was extremely clean and organized. We stopped here for just a single night to break up a long drive. The sites are pull through except for the back in sites around the edge. The sites are gravel, but it is the nice gravel that is thick and packed tight. Each site has a concrete living area with a picnic table and a grass area. There is plenty of space for parking a car, trailer, etc. at the site. They offer a nice pool area with clean showers and restrooms. The wifi worked and the staff at the park was extremely friendly and welcoming. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a great location to experience all that CDA has to offer. The park is located right at the mouth of the Spokane River that acts as the outlet for the lake. They have a beach area and boat docks that give direct access to the lake. The majority of the sites in the park were pull through with back in sites arranged around the edges of the park. The sites are gravel and each has a picnic table with a small grass area. There are a few trees scattered around the park, but most sites will still have satellite reception. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the wifi worked. See our pictures and reviews at thegilliamsisland. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

Great KOA just a couple of miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park. The park is everything you want from an RV park in the mountains with the single exception of working WiFi. The sites are gravel and long. The majority of the big rig sites are pull through with cabin, small RV sites and tent sites scattered around the park. They have some of the nicest bathrooms and showers that I've experienced on the road. They have two pools with one for families and the second for adults along with a full list of additional amenities. Ice cream shop, walking paths, horse shoes, basketball, etc. Spacings between sites was comfortable and each site had a table and fire pit. See all of our updates and reviews on our blog. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

The Meadows RV Park, Ketchum, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

With no other RV park options in the Sun Valley area, this park is where you will likely end up. The good point is the great location just off US 75 right outside of Ketchum. The highway is maybe two hundred yards away, but there is very little traffic noise. The park has direct access to the bike trail that runs along the river and connects Ketchum, Sun Valley and Elkhorn. Checkin was great as the office texted us our confirmation, map and site location the morning of our arrival. We did not go to the office at all during our stay. The sites, however, are very narrow and you are extremely close to your neighbors. The center section is pull through sites that are asphalt with a grass area and picnic table. There is no opportunity to use the table if you are in a full size RV next to another full size RV. The park has no WiFi. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Valley RV Park, Walla Walla, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great location less than a mile from downtown Walla Walla with easy access to the wine country. The park is relatively small with only 60 sites. The sites are all back in and paved with the center section being organized in a back to back configuration. Each site has a picnic table and concrete living area. The sites are a bit close, but there is still enough room to get around your rig and put out awnings. The park has good wifi, cable and a lodge/office building that includes the clean showers and bathrooms. We camped at Blue Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great park right along the Big Thompson River just outside of the main area of Loveland giving easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park just 30 minutes up the road. The park has a ton of trees and has a true camping vibe. It has a large portion of their sites for the short term campers set up along the river. These sites are all back in and go right to the edge of the river with a picnic table set up between the sites. The roads and sites are dirt and gravel and it can get dusty at times when there are several vehicles moving around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our changing plans. There were a lot of families with kids using the playground, volleyball and grass areas. Approximately half of the sites along the river give satellite reception, but most of the park will be blocked by the very large and mature trees. The wifi never worked well for us. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Great KOA conveniently located just off I-25 right outside of Colorado Springs. Most of the sites are pull through with a gravel park pad and a small grass area with picnic table between each site. The park has a great pool with a water park area and a game room to help keep the kids occupied. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well for us during our stay. Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet park with great views of Scottsbluff National Monument. The park is small and organized around a grass park area in the center. There are small to midsized trees around the park, but most of the sites are satellite friendly. The camp host was very nice and helpful when we checked in. We did not check out the bathrooms or showers and the wifi did not work for us. The park is very affordable and we would stay here again when in the area. Rapid City / Black Hills KOA, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

A nice KOA located very close to the main freeways giving easy access to all of the sights in the area. We had one of the larger pull through sites near the entrance. The roads and sites are gravel, but easy to navigate for big rigs. Each site has a small grass area with a picnic table. The park has all of the standard KOA amenities with a pool, playground, dog area, bathrooms and showers, etc. along with a game room and a pancake breakfast offered most mornings. Wifi was not working at all for us during our stay. We camped at Rapid City / Black Hills KOA in a Motorhome.
