Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest parks we visited on our month long trip through the Utah/Nevada/Arizona area. Well laid out and professionally run. Short trip to both the "big city" of Hurricane, UT (everything you could need) and about 20 min to Zion NP. People were friendly and helpful. Camp store is nice and well stocked. Concrete pads, trees and some grass make for a nice site :-) We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Moab Rim RV Campark & Cabins, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Newer campground. Staff was truly wonderful. Just south of Moab, so not crazy busy with people. Not fancy, but well set up and clean. We already booked time there for next October. Just a short drive into downtown for shopping, dining, etc. We camped at Moab Rim RV Campark & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a wonderful little pub next to the bowling alley. It is less than a mile away from the campground. Food and drinks were wonderful and very reasonable. Opens at 11 am on Sunday, so that you can watch football on the east coast games.

Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley , Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in spite of the online ratings. The ratings were correct. This is what happens when someone loses interest in their business and does just enough to "keep the lights on". This is tragic since this is one of the most spectacular locations for a park we have seen. It is a shame that they don't sell it to someone who would give it the love it deserves and make it the special place it could be. So if you are looking for a place to park, with outstanding location to visit Yellowstone, The Tetons and Jackson this is it. If you are looking for a resort then this is clearly not the place for you, because this is in no way a resort. We camped at Fireside Resort at Buffalo Valley in a Motorhome.
