Moose Hillock Campground, Warren, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed at Moose Hillock Lake George and liked it so we went to try NH location this season. If you are looking for place to disconnect and get away from your life, this is the place. It's not really close to anything. You have to drive 30-60 minutes to get to anything outside of campground which got kinda old. The campground has zero cell or wifi coverage. There is a choppy wifi at pool but not great. The pool with slides seems to be the big attraction to this park and it is nice and heated as well. no roads are paved, all dirt with bumps and potholes. Our site was overgrown with trees and weeds and in need of some maintenance. I don't think I saw one level site in the whole park and I walked most of it. It's a pretty rustic place which is cool, sometimes. Didn't see any type of security patrol which is discouraging being there is zero cell service, so if you had an emergency your are on your own. Still had a nice relaxing stay but I don't think I will be back. local roads were closed due to roads washed out, so called office from road to see best way to come in and they were no help at all which is also disappointing. We camped at Moose Hillock Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Watkins Glen / Corning KOA, Watkins Glen, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $94.00
Overall Rating:

Overall Nice Park, Stayed for July 4th week. Lot of kids activities, zip lines, climbing, slide, jumping pillow. Indoor pool with hot tub was nice. Lot of things to do with Racetrack right there, You will hear faint sound of racecars at your campsite when they are running but it's not bad. Our site had a concrete patio with lamppost and flowers which was really nice. Also site was long and had plenty of room. I will definitely be back. We camped at Watkins Glen / Corning KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Corning glass museum is not far and a fun trip, lake Seneca has great wine and beer tasting. and lot of fun places on the water to grab a drink or food. Also drive the glen at Watkins glen, for $25 you can take your car out on track for few laps and pictures. I will be back!

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Lazy River, Gardiner, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

They have dumped a bunch of money into the park which reflects in price to stay. The pool is great, lots of activities. They seem to be catering to the cabin rentals and have put in a ton of new ones, so you get lot of "non camping" people. Dog park is really nice. Lot of new sites up on hill but out in the sun. more sites have concrete pads and patios also which is nice. It's close to home so I will be back. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Lazy River in a Fifth Wheel.

Mystic KOA, North Stonington, Connecticut

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are way too tight and narrow, not level. Park seems run down to me. no park activities on a holiday weekend was also disappointing. Would not go back. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
