Wolf's Camping Resort, Knox, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

First, I'm only writing this review because we based our decision to spend the weekend at this resort based on the reviews we read on this place and NONE of them were a clear indication of what we experienced once there. The price for this place and the shape of the "weekender" sites are shameful. I have stayed in nicer state parks. We were in the 300/400 section and not only did our site not have any gravel (you could tell at one time there used to be some) but we were left to try and level our RV with the ruts that were left in the ground from the previous campers. There was also a tent in the site directly behind us that was so far back that it was over into our site and we could not open the back of our camper. When we cooked dinner we literally could touch their tent. But in all honesty, it wasn't their fault, they were put on a full hookup site that looks like it used to be a parking space and the only patch of grass they could put their tent on was on our site! The sites were definitely not big rig friendly as a fellow weekender found out and had his large (very expensive looking) rig stuck twice trying to back into a grass spot. They finally left after having to be towed out TWICE! As we were setting up we notice we have NO picnic table. Their map clearly states that every site would have a picnic table and if you want an extra table it would be a $2 charge. Not only did we not have a table but the 4 sites around us didn't have one as well. As a previous "reviewer" stated there is a HUGE number of golf carts and the speeding golf carts with pre teens/teenagers screaming and yelling at all hours of the night was unbelievable. When we made our reservation we asked for a site near the playground since we are a family of 4 with little kids. They assured me that we were the closest we could get to their "big playground". The 1970's metal playground was a hike and bordered I-80. I will add photos but there was NOTHING my 2 years could play on at this play ground. We camped at Wolf's Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
