Country Hills Resort, Cave Junction, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Needed to use the dump station upon arrival. Drove through the park twice and had to have the owner take us there as it wasn't signed. Owner gave us site numbers to look for. Only problem was that most of the sites didn't have numbers on them. It was very difficult to find a spot. We were the only overnighters there (we stayed two nights). There were about 6 people living there. We had a scary experience with a young man who approached us as we sat outside our trailer. He kept moving closer to us as he talked. He obviously knew the person who lived a few sites away. After talking with us he went back to the neighbor's and then they both stood in the driveway talking. Then the neighbor walked down the driveway of empty site next to us, looking our way. It seemed like they were trying to decide if they were going to rob us or do something else. The people who run this place are very nice people but it seems like it has gotten too much for them to handle. We camped at Country Hills Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed here because it was listed in the Good Sam directory and there was nothing better in the immediate area. I would not stay there again. We were frightened all night.
