Wytheville KOA, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Park just completed replacing their swimming pool. They are also adding other improvements to activities and campground sites. Campground is close to I-81, but road noise is hardly noticed. Staff is very friendly and park is clean and well maintained. Great overnight stay. At park, they have a bowling alley, arcade and miniature golf. Entire area was well maintained. We camped at Wytheville KOA in a Motorhome.

Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground, Swannanoa, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is built on the side of a mountain, but the campsites are very level. It is very convenient for the Asheville area, but very quiet. We heard no road noise from Interstate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Showers and laundry room was very clean. Only negative was steep roads, but had no problems traveling around the campground. Very picturesque. Premium campsites on top of campground provided beautiful scenery. Easy travel to Asheville, Biltmore Estate and other area numerous attractions. Great area for hiking including waterfalls. Asheville has a lot of very nice art galleries with very artistic work. We camped at Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $96.00
Overall Rating:

Had deluxe patio site which was very nice with brick patio, brick fire ring, round table with umbrella and swing. Site was gravel back in and level. Had 50/30 amp service, water, sewer and good cable. WiFi was good. Plenty of activities for kids. Campground was well maintained. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Close to I-64, but no road noise. Will stay there again. Only had slight problem with low hanging branch in driveway. We camped at Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Williamsburg attractions. There are two sections of campgrounds, Colonial and Williamsburg. Colonial is good for kids with activities. Has a nice pool area. Williamsburg section is quieter.
