We had site 6, Backed in and was checking level, hook ups and other things. We had nearly backed into a place the fire ring had been in the past. The ground was littered with maybe 50 or more nails. Some one probably had burned pallets then the ring was moved. Fortunately we didn't get any on the trailer tires. Went and complained to the manager. Said he would report it to the maint. crew. It was close to the highway with a lot of traffic noise. that night. The bathrooms could stand a better cleaning. Would not stay here again. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Travel Trailer.

We were on a hill and had to use our ramps to level the trailer. We were near to older restroom and shower building. They were in need of cleaning . We started using the new shower and restroom building. It was much cleaner. The location was good for us. Would stay here again. We camped at Illinois State Fair Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

The man at check in was nice. In general the place is in disrepair and needs a good cleaning. Site# 1 was empty while we were there. The laundry was next to site #1. My wife said the washers were disgusting so we went to a laundry mat. The trailer on #3 next to us was old and owned by the park. Two Veterans were renting it and living there. The trailer was in bad repair and covered with tarps. They were nice guys just down on their luck. The bathrooms / showers were disgusting. Probably hadn't been cleaned in many weeks. The soap dispenser was refilled while we were there. My wife said the women's showers had buckets in them with dirty water. An old facility is one thing and we are ok with old. There is no reason for filthy. The pool was empty and full of leaves. Don't know when the last time it was filled. Again the people we had contact with were nice and we didn't feel unsafe. The roads were full of holes so speed bumps were not needed. It was quiet while we were there. I doubt I would ever stay there again. We have a 22 ft. travel trailer. We camped at Carolina Beach Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
It was convient to Willimgton attractions.
