Greenfield Campground & Cabins, West Jefferson, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This Park is beautiful, the grounds are very well maintained, and so clean. There are beautiful walking trails. Native wildflowers are allowed to flourish in the green fields which in turn attracts hundreds of butterflies and the nightly show of firefly lights is spectacular. My husband and I visited for 10 days and loved the Park and the West Jefferson/New River area so much we opted for a seasonal site. The fee reflects the monthly rate which is actually lower. The seasonal sites are metered and we pay our own electric which is fine with me. Power is excellent 122 volts/60 hz. Since we are planning on being here seasonally, we had the sewer hard-piped by a very nice local plumber, and it is a blessing. The Park is situated on the slopes of Mount Jefferson which is so beautiful. The mountain views from our coach are incredible. The seasonal Park residents are friendly, everyone waves and stops for a chat. My family has been in the RV Park business for decades and from my own experience I will say that this is the best Campground/RV Park we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The owners and managers are friendly and every detail is attended to. There are also planned activities to enjoy. By the way, this is my first RV Park review and we could not be happier. We camped at Greenfield Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a beautiful trail to the top of Mount Jefferson. The New River is close by for rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. West Jefferson is a beautiful little town with antique shops, restaurants and a Cheese Factory. The nearby New River flows north and is actually the 2nd oldest river in the world. Wal-Mart is close and there is a Lowe's Home Improvement across the valley.
