Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our way to Yellowstone. Dusty place, but you are in the desert. K9 run was nice for the dogs. Close to I-80. Walmart is only 5 minutes away to stock up. No grass for the dogs except in the K9 run. Propane was $4.09/gallon. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, clean place to stay. Medium sized site with picnic table and charcoal grill. Full hook up. Level site. Didn't try the cable hook up, excellent cell service to stream TV. One of the smaller Cabela's stores that I have been in, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Centrally located to do everything in the area. 20 minutes from Acadia National Park Visitor Center. Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound is the best place for food. Fresh or prepared, they are the best!

Sunset Point RV Trailer Park, Lubec, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very relaxing scenery, sites with cable are waterfront. Sites are very close together, but the park wasn't busy so we were spaced out. Cash or personal check only, no credit cards. We camped at Sunset Point RV Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pettecote Junction, Cedar Run, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has a new owner as of a few years ago. Many campground structures have been updated recently. We saw a lot of new signs, fences, buildings, etc. The campground has wifi that is slow, occasionally we were able to stream on a Roku TV. Occasionally we were not even able to get a website on our iPhones. The campsite we had backed right up the the creek which was great for views and relaxing outside. On the other side of the campground, less than 100 yards away, was the trail to the rail-to-trail. Beautiful old railroad bridges to walk across to the left and right of the campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really good general store within walking distance in Cedar Run. 45 minute drive to the PA Grand Canyon overlook. Definitely a must see. No cell phone reception was a definite bonus, but my wife needed to stay in touch with the outside world so we paid $12 for 3 days of wifi. Sites were tight, but I have been in tighter campgrounds. We camped at Pettecote Junction in a Travel Trailer.

Front Royal RV Campground, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old KOA campground that hasn't had any maintenance work done since it was a KOA except for mowing the grass and planting shrubs around the office. The RV sites are far from level and many have been abandoned. The tent area hasn't had anything done to it for what looks like years. The pool water looked clean but it hadn't been vacuumed in some time. The laundry room had old machines and the room had a lot of cobwebs. We didn't venture into the bath houses. That being said, there are a few sites that are still in half decent shape if you are looking for a place to stay and not use any amenities. We stayed in site 5 with water and electric. Sites 1 through 8 are the only RV sites that I would stay in- they are not very level but are mowed and have fire rings. Site 4 is the best RV site in the campground- it is level and has morning shade. There are a few good RV sites on the other side of the swimming pool but 1 through 8 are the only ones I would recommend. We stayed in site 5 and didn't have enough blocks of wood with us to level the trailer. But it was a good place to sleep and we didn't expect anything more. Nice place to sleep if you are going to do the Shenandoah National Park and don't expect anything more than a site to sleep. We camped at Front Royal RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Creekside RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are tight, especially along the creek. Bath house and laundry are air conditioned and clean. Pool area is nice. Pool is a salt water pool. Sites were level with concrete pad, picnic table, and fire ring. Less than 2 minute drive to "The Island". Good dog walking grass along most of the creek. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
