Camping World Racing Resort (formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway CG), Concord, North Carolina
Date of Stay:
September, 2018 -
$27.00
Overall Rating:
We arrived at the campground as hurricane evacuees on Tuesday 9/11. Camping World provided free lunch on Thursday thru Saturday. Charlotte Motor Speedway provided free tours of all their properties on Thursday. There were quit a few evacuees in the campground. We felt that CMS and CW did an excellent job! You sure can't beat the price! Some evacuees still can't get back to their homes but the campground is sold out begining 9/24 fir the races 9/28-9/30! We camped at Camping World Racing Resort (formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway CG) in a Motorhome.
This is the NASCAR Racing hub. Plenty of race shops to visit but if that's not your game there are plenty of other things to do in the Charlotte area.

We recently held a Colonial Virginian's FMCA Chapter Rally here. This is undoubtedly the best KOA we have ever stayed in. The Rally was great and the first time host did a tremendous job! We camped at Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA in a Motorhome.

Camp Bell Campground, Campbell, New York
Date of Stay:
August, 2017 -
$36.00
Overall Rating:
We were traveling to Watkins Glen International Raceway for a Porsche event and one of our traveling companions had a medical issue resulting in a holding pattern. The fantastic folks here were able to accommodate us even though they were full. This is a great campground and the owners strive to improve it each year. There is a good amount of permanent/seasonal folks here and many activities. There are no sewer connection here but there is a dump station and "honey wagon" service at a very reasonable rate. We camped at Camp Bell Campground in a Motorhome.
Great homemade ice cream shop nearby that also has food service.

We camped at West Haven at Lake Erie in a Motorhome.
