Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park right off the interstate. Interior roads are paved and the sites are gravel and pretty level. Each site has a picnic table in good shape. Only a few seasonal/permanent residents and those sites are well kept.We did have an issue with the manager not having the guard down when mowing and he was not understanding when we asked him to put it down. We are very concerned about the mower guards being down as we have had damage to our RV from stones thrown by mowers at other parks. The work camper staff were excellent and very friendly. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Suggest a trip to the Tabasco factory and the Jungle Gardens on their property.

There is a truck stop right next door, so getting diesel/gas is really easy but there is noise from the overnight trucks.

Hwy 71 RV Park, Cedar Creek, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet park about 30 minutes east of downtown Austin. We were in Site 56 which was about 5 inches out of level front to back. Interior roads are asphalt, sites are gravel. Majority of sites are long-term stay. Work out room is clean and all equipment is in good condition. Pool is clean. Park is gated with code provided for after hours. Tight for big rigs (we have a 45' class A) - pull-thru sites are not on an angle and pulling in and out is a challenge due to width of roads and trees. Only 2 bars of Verizon 4G. We camped at Hwy 71 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quiet park about 45 minutes east of downtown Dallas. Close to I-30 but noise minimal. . Park was easy to navigate. Interior roads and sites are gravel. Sites were level. Roadrunner RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Getting to the park is a little challenging off the freeway. Park entrance was a little tight for our big rig. Interior roads and sites are paved. Park is well maintained but not in the best area of town. It does have four storm shelters. Wifi was intermittent. Site was not very level - it was about 8" difference from front to back. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Easy on and off the interstate. Interior roads and sites are paved and level. No picnic tables or cable. Wifi reception was ok, full bars of Verizon 4G. Park was quiet even though it was near the interstate. Several restaurants close by. We camped at Air Capital RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly new park, quiet with level concrete sites. Interior roads are gravel and very dusty. Our MH and tow were covered in dust from the other residents driving by. No pull-thrus, only back-ins. Easy to get to from the Interstate. No issues navigating the roads with our big rig. We camped at Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Autumn Woods RV Park, Rochester, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely, quiet park. There are two sections - one with lots of trees and one without. Interior roads are paved in the section with trees and gravel throughout the rest of the park. Sites are gravel and fairly level. Very close to Rochester and the Mayo Clinic. Wifi did not work well for us but Verizon signal was good. We camped at Autumn Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground, Salem, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, quiet park about a mile or so north of the interstate. Park is very well maintained. East to maneuver with our big rig. Interior roads and sites are gravel. Site was level. New owners have done a lot to fix up the park and have plans for future improvements. Note that they do NOT take credit cards - cash or check only. We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Jamestown Campground, Jamestown, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Most sites are pull-thru, the longer ones in the back row are buddy sites. We had no issues navigating through the interior roads in our 45' motorhome. The park is well kept with a large playground area and a long dog walk area. No issues connecting to DISH satellites, very minimal Verizon connection, their wifi strength was fair. Our main con is the gravel road to the park from the interstate - it's about 1-1/2 miles and is very dusty if it hasn't rained recently. We camped at Jamestown Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazy Days Campground, Miltona, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

WOW! This park is quite a way off the interstate but it is worth the drive. We had no issues in our 45' motorhome. The sites are huge with a picnic table and fire ring. They have lots for kids to do - pool, playground, baseball field, BMX track. Only 2 bars of Verizon here. There is a great little golf course called Double Eagle Golf & Grill that is well maintained and has great food. We camped at Lazy Days Campground in a Motorhome.

Kansas City East Trailside RV Park, Grain Valley, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Quick and easy access from the interstate. Only half the sites have FHU and most of those are taken by long-term folks. We stayed on the water/electric only side - one of the workers comes by three times per week to empty your black water tank, so we had no issues. Interior roads and sites are dirt/gravel. The sites closest to the interstate are not very level, we moved to a site close to Mize Rd and it was very level. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We camped at Kansas City East Trailside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Adventureland Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park - interior roads and sites are concrete. Our site was a pull-in, they do have back-ins and some pull-thrus as well. Right next door to the Adventureland amusement park so you can hear screams from the roller coaster during the day and early evening. The park closed at 7pm while we were there, so no issue with sleeping. No issues maneuvering within the park for our big rig. The only issue getting to the park was that you have to really watch for the entrance, it's easy to miss. We camped at Adventureland Campground in a Motorhome.

Lower White River RV Park, Hazen, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We paid $155 for 7 nights. Quiet park even though it's right off the Interstate. Interior roads and sites are asphalt. Between our site and the two on either side was gravel. There is no office building or any other amenities on site. When you arrive, you call a number posted on a sign at the entrance. We were told to choose a spot. The manager came by shortly to collect payment. We camped at Lower White River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very well kept. The sites are a good size and fairly level. The interior roads are gravel with no potholes. The sites are also gravel. Easy access from I-55 with no issues for big rigs. The only issue we had was with the owners. They were very friendly when we checked in but after that not so much. We requested that the fire ring on the site to our left be either moved or removed, we were told no. This fire ring was only one foot from our RV and could have caused damage to our RV if it had been used. Wifi worked fine for the first week, then there were issues with the one closest to us. Owners refused to look into the issue. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.
