Lake Stephens Campground, Beckley, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

My family has used this park on and off for ten years and it has went down hill every year. Children run the campground without any supervision. Traffic in and out of park at all hours and at high rates of speed. The quite hours are posted but not upheld. Pets are not cleaned up after. The lake has security but has no authority. Management only cares about keeping the park full with no care to campers. If you stay while the grass is being mowed it is guarantee they will hit the rv with a rock or a piece of equipment. When taking evening walks around the park is dangerous due to children on bicycles or electric scooters. The lake has a beautiful view of nature on if you overlook the trash. All rv sites are short and very narrow with tight parking. All sites are pull thru but the trees are never cut back and growing into the road make it almost impossible to pass thru with a rv. The park allows boat trailer parking in which makes traffic around the camping area dangerous at any hours day or nite. With that said happy camping and you were warned. We camped at Lake Stephens Campground in a Motorhome.
