Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park), Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very basic park however the staff is very friendly and helpful. In fact, the staff gladly forwarded mail to our next RV park even though it arrived two days after we left. They even called us to keep us informed. The sites were large and the park was quiet and peaceful, even at night. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Shadows RV Park, Draper, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is mostly mobile homes. The roads are somewhat tight for large rigs but fine overall. The reason for the bad rating is there is a drainage ditch in front of the RV sites. When entering or leaving the site, your RV WILL DRAG and definitely damage your RV. The blacktop is gutted up to 2 inches because of this ditch. I don't understand why they don't repair this with a metal grate of change the angle of the site. It wouldn't be that expensive. We had to lay several layers of wood blocks to drive over the ditch to the site. We will definitely NOT return to this park. We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Century Mobile Home and RV Park, West Haven, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

They do a great job keeping the park clean and quiet. The RV's are separated from the mobile homes. However, like several parks here in Utah, they put two RV's on one site. We could literally see into our neighbor's RV since the slides were only 1-2 feet apart. Plus our other neighbor had their motor home hit by someone trying to park. The sites are just too close and dangerous. There is plenty of room for them to expand the site if they just would do it. We probably will not stay here again. We camped at Century Mobile Home and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunset Point Campground, Harrington, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Pros - this is a very nice quiet campground next to the bay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Sites are large, grassy, and many are shaded. Cons - BEWARE, there is no TV antenna coverage and the owner charges $5 PER DAY for cable. There is nothing in his website that states anything about this extra charge or the lack of coverage. I believe that is somewhat deceiving. However we would definitely stay here again as it is a beautiful area. We camped at Sunset Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Balsam Woods Campground, Abbot Village, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The sites at this campground are huge - the largest we have encountered. Shaded sites are easy back in. They are working on developing ATV and walking trails. The mosquitos are bad so bring your bug spray. Very family friendly with lots of activities on the weekends. We would stay here again. We camped at Balsam Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cupsuptic Campgrounds, Oquossoc, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A local non-profit conservancy group owns this campground and they are doing quite a bit to upgrade the campground. The sites are very nice, large, and private. The on-site managers are very friendly and helpful. There are several non-FHU sites sitting right on the lake. Beautiful area - we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a family owned campground and they have done an excellent job. The campsite was very large and easy to get into. Since this is in the mountains area, there is some up/down but not overly so. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi at Shangri-La, Milton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park - lots of activities for children but also very relaxing and quiet for the adults (during the week anyway). The staff was very helpful and they went out of their way to help with a flat tire. The only negative was the mosquitoes - the park is next to a nice creek and it does bring these pests. However, we will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi at Shangri-La in a Fifth Wheel.

Cain's Creekside RV Park, Hahira, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The campground has two lakes with most sites near one or the other. The owner has recently expanded and has added many new sites. He is still in the process of completing this but it is a very nice and quiet park. The owner lives on site so he is available to handle any problems. The park is in the country so there is no road noise but yet is close to the interstate. A train does come by once or twice a day but we did not hear anything at night. We camped at Cain's Creekside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Southern Oaks RV Resort, Summerfield, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved a site for two nights, however we were not able to stay. The site they assigned was blocked by a neighbor's utility trailer, plus the lot was loose sand. We were concerned about getting stuck as we have a heavy 5th wheel. When I called, the clerk didn't think we had a valid concern and stated no other sites were available. The park was very basic. We moved to another park, which is very nice. So glad we moved! We will not come back. We camped at Southern Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cozy Corners Campground, Oglesby, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The owner was very pleasant and helpful - but this campground is just on the corner of his personal residence with junk sitting all around the yard. The restroom was just a Port-A-Potty and the shower was a very small block building. There were full hookups but no other amenities. Water was from a well. We will not stay here again. Overall Rating:

Campground was fine for an overnight stay but we will not return. Our site was spacious but ground was damp since drainage was poor. Laundry room was not usable, dirty with just one washer available. Several full time seasonal campers. The river is next to the campground and boating and canoeing are available. We camped at Indian Valley Campground and Canoe Livery in a Fifth Wheel.

Seneca Shadows Campground USFS, Seneca Rocks, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground for hiking and nature trails. The sites were a little small for our 34ft fifth wheel but other than that, it was very private and peaceful. No water hook ups but a water outlet is available to fill the tanks. Dump station available. This is deep in the mountains and there is no cell phone service. We would come back here again.
