Point of Rocks RV Campground, Prescott, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The park itself is lovely and maintained well. Roads are dirt, sites are varied. It's Arizona and they have made this park representative of the area vs a parking lot with hookups. Nice dog walk at top of hill along rocks. My issue is with the reservations team. When I made my reservation I was unsure if I should stay 2 or 3 nights. It is winter and I was told I could extend one day and it would be penciled in. When I went to pay for additional day I was informed the space was rented the day after I called. Personally I have to rely on accurate information to make intelligent decisions. I am very unhappy and my trip spoiled. I had some business, getting over the flu so I slowed down, planning to see Prescott today. Now I must leave- too hard to move this 39 ft toy hauler around for just one night- would take so long I still would not have time to explore the area! Moral of the story- get creative making a reservation here. Do not believe what they tell you on the phone and you will probably enjoy this park! We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

No cable but tv adequate. Stayed in older park in monticello - that one had cable but units were almost touching slides. This park is open and very easy to stay in with large Rv. I'm happy I moved, although the people were ok at other park

Echo Basin Ranch, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful, quiet Rv park with very large spaces between the sites. Satellite wifi, off the beaten track! I came in at night- had to dodge some black cows that got loose about a mile down the road. Don't be afraid- signs well marked and it is a bit off from ft 160. After the left turn at the bottom of the road the road goes right to the entrance. This park, converted from a boys camp in the 1960s has new owners who treat you like family yet leave you alone for your experience. Huge spaces between campers, pine tree wooded, well maintained sites. Full services, 30/50 amp, well maintained gravel roads in park. Fire pits are beautiful- stone. This is one of the best places I have stayed in ages!! Puts Camping back into RV living. Very close to Mesa Verde. We camped at Echo Basin Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Catfish Round-Up RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I rated this excellent as it is the best value and clean safe park I have been in on this trip. The restaurant is an incredible value with good home cooking. Campground is full hook ups, antenna tv great, perfect location for an overnight stay. Came from a horrible camp ground full of unfriendly full time residents. I read about full time residents and cringed. Yes I am sure they are here. No clue who is full time and who isn't. That is how well run this park is. Big field out back. Quiet. Certainly is a gem! Concrete pads. Pull thru. We camped at Catfish Round-Up RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
