Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park, Saint George Island, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

From the mainland bridge, it is 4 miles to the gate, and another 4 miles to the campground. The campground is clean, and our site was gravel, mostly level, quiet and roomy. We were pleasantly surprised that there are hooks fastened to posts at the back of each site for attaching a clothesline. There are trees between sites that offer a reasonable amount of privacy. Water pressure was really good, and electric was fine. We were at the end of the loop, so the walk to the beach was a bit longer. The gulf beach itself is lovely, and it was a pleasure to enjoy it without the crowds of many FL beaches. The sunset at the bay access near the end of the campground loop was stunning. There is access to a hiking trail at the end of the loop as well. A word to the wise: bring insect repellent! The mosquitoes are abundant. We camped at Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, quiet, level site. The only negative was the lady at the registration desk who didn't even say hello when I approached. She might have said 5 words throughout my whole transaction, and never offered a smile. She needs a course in customer interaction. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well-run campground. The sites are level gravel and long enough (by a lot) to park our RV and car with room to spare. Even after a heavy rain, the sites were not soggy. The campground has great Wifi and cable, and is located conveniently to Patriots Point (a must-see) and Charleston. We were in site 16 and were impressed by the quiet here. Love this place, and we'll be back. We camped at Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Wilmington KOA, Wilmington, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Park is convenient to Wilmington. Utilities all fine, wifi is acceptable, slow at times, as expected, and cable is OK, if a bit snowy. Roads and site surfaces are dirt-sand, which makes for a messy RV. There are weedy areas between sites. Sites are not close which is nice. As others have noted here, a left turn out of the park in traffic is dicey. Airlie Gardens is beautiful this time of year. I don't think I've seen more azaleas in bloom at the same time in any other spot. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Motorhome.

The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Clean , quiet campground, and the closest to visit Congaree National Park, a 30 minute drive away. Our site was a bit narrow, as our slide protruded over the picnic table. Wifi poor, as with most campgrounds, but the cable was decent. Water and electric were fine. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Atlanta South RV Resort , Mcdonough, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was very clean and reasonably quiet, with great wifi and many channels on the cable TV. Rest rooms were very clean. Not much charm here, but convenient to Atlanta (the closest we could find that is south of the city). Roads are newly paved, but sites are dusty--so dusty that in the morning, an employee was blowing dust off the roadways. We camped at Atlanta South RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Meaher State Park, Spanish Fort, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights. We had to move after the first night because site 29 had been booked for the 2nd and 3rd nights. Site 29 on night 1, site 30 on nights 2 and 3. Both sites were fine. The park is very clean, and convenient to Mobile. Will definitely return. We camped at Meaher State Park in a Motorhome.

Hitchin Post Corral and Campground RV Park, Cottondale, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Vonda, the owner, is awesome, and very welcoming. The campground is very clean, and utilities are great. The location is very convenient--not far off I10. The only issue is with road noise from I10. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground RV Park in a Motorhome.

Copperfield Campground, Oxbow, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

For where it is, this campground is great. There really is no one on site to address issues, though. When we arrived, there was trash in the fire ring, including a soiled diaper, and a load of dog poop in the grass on one side of the RV. There really was no one to complain to. Our site was level and long enough, and convenient to Hells Canyon. Also, FYI, there is no cell service and no wifi here. We camped at Copperfield Campground in a Motorhome.

Branson Shenanigans RV Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Service, location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff-- this RV park has it all. We originally planned on staying for 3 nights, and once we got here, decided to add a few more, but apparently our spot had been reserved for someone, and we would have to move. We were considering our options, when one of the owners came to us, and said he had found a solution, and we could stay in our current spot for the entire stay. As others have said, when you arrive, you are greeted and brought to your site, and assisted in setting up. Our site was nicely shaded and had a small deck with picnic table. Cable TV setup is a bit different, in that it included a cable box that gave us access to many more channels. On the first night, we chose some shows from the suggestions of the campground owners, and within 15 minutes, the tickets were delivered to our motorhome door. Shenanigans should be your first choice if you are staying in Branson in an RV. Period. We camped at Branson Shenanigans RV Park in a Motorhome.

South Park Mobile Home Park (55+ park), Englewood, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Location was good for us visiting family in the area. As others have stated, the speed bumps in the park are jarring. Our site was VERY tight, and there was a puddle of water to the rear left of the site. I suspect the puddle was from their sprinkler system leak. We parked our tow vehicle perpendicular to the RV in front, and had just enough room. This is essentially a mobile home park that has a limited number of sites for transients. We had no problems here, and it was pretty quiet during our 3 night stay. We camped at South Park Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Homewood RV Park, Homewood, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Owners very friendly (got a bag of popcorn at check-in!), park is clean, site was level enough and long enough for our RV and car. Wifi was great, and OTA TV had lots of channels. Close to I35 but road noise from was not an issue. Would definitely stay here again, and advise others to do the same. Rates were $30 for check or cash, $32 for credit. We camped at Homewood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA , Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Signage coming in here is terrible, one small dirty sign on the main road. Once you make the turn off Route 50, there is no signage at all to direct you. We had to stop midway down the street to ask someone where the park is. She said she has given directions lots of times. The park itself is clean, roads are gravel, and sites are reasonably level and spaced well. There are trees to offer some shade. There is a speed bump coming into the park that is jarring, even when you go over it at 2mph. Wifi is, as others have said, down more than up, and very slow when its up. Cable is great. We camped at Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA in a Motorhome.
