Upper Pines Campground (NPS Campground), Yosemite National Park, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We had magnificent views of Glacier Point from our campsite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The huge bear boxes were very handy and seem very effective in discouraging bears. The campground was very quiet in the evenings at this time of year We felt It was a privilege to be camping in Yosemite Valley and agree with John Muir, "It is by far the grandest of all the special temples of Nature I was every permitted to enter." We camped at Upper Pines Campground (NPS Campground) in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Try for outer loop or last loop if possible . We really enjoyed the hike to Mirror Lake at the base of Half Dome and also the drive up to Glacier Point for breathtaking views of the Valley and high country and our campsite!
