Coyote Valley RV Resort, Morgan Hill, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

Very neat upper class RV park with lot of long stay residents. Possibility to get propane on the park, though the nozzle did not fit our tank and we needed to go elsewhere. Good place to do a final stop before delivering the RV back to Roadbear RV San Leandro. Watch closing time for store. We camped at Coyote Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kirk Creek Campground, Big Sur, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Make reservations as soon as possible. There are not a lot of sites and the campground is popular. Nice scenery over the ocean, and beautiful sunset. Directly after the sunset, the soil / dirt started to smell moist, which was a bit discomforting. Getting in and out sites can be a bit of a challenge because of the narrow road. Did see bunnies, squirrels, and a lot of birds! Were not allowed to use fire pit because of wildfire risk (good decision). We camped at Kirk Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $120.00
Overall Rating:

Upper class RV park with two swimming pools. Very neatly kept, well managed. Bit too expensive for the quick stayover we had and there was some construction going on near our site which gave some discomfort. Watch the entrance if arriving in dark at night. We almost used what later seemed to be an emergency exit. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Seligman / Route 66 KOA, Seligman, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Simple dirt sites with some long stay campers. But the atmosphere is very friendly and the swimming pool was a great place to socialize with other occupants. Seligman as a town was a bit disappointing, campground is also not on walking distance from town ... On the positive side, we did have a great BBQ over here, and a great sleep (even when the railroad was used by 3 minute long passing trains). We camped at Seligman / Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.

Rancho Sedona RV Park, Sedona, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground within walking distance of Sedona tourist center. Lots of rules to obey, with the 10 o'clock inside the camper rule, no sound being the hardest one to obey. But it has the result of a great pieceful camping experience, even with our 4 kids! Would go here again. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

Enjoy the river running next to the campground, it's a treat on hot days! Watch if you enter Sedona from the North, it has some steep declines and the road is narrow at points with no margin for error.

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Upper style full hookup campground, very spacious sites. Direct access to Lake Powell by walkway. Lot of clean and good showers available throughout the park. Would definitely come here again, or maybe, try to find a place a bit further directly along Lake Powell on the beach. It seems to be possible. The campground seems to be located within the perimeter of a national park. So there will be a booth with a ranger just after exiting the Hwy from the dam. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

Went to Gouldings for the full hookup. Managed to flood the sewer system which gave some nasty smell on our and neighbours sites. This was fixed the next day and we got relocated to another site, so follow-up of management was adequate. While visiting Monument Valley (which you need to unhook for because there is no shuttle going from Gouldings to the park entrance) we spotted some campers near the park entrance as well. Seemed they had a good place with great view, no hookup though. Good facilities (big grocery shop and tank station near the campground entrance) make it a good place to stay for a day or two while visiting the NP. Swimming pool is indoor, simple but nice! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Devils Garden Campground (NPS Campground), Arches National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, it's hot in August ... yes, you're missing the full hookup. But it is SO definitely worth it! Pick our site and you'll have access to early shade, and climbing the big stones next to the site. Enjoy the late night sky, so beautiful. We want to go back to this place! We camped at Devils Garden Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Fruita Campground (NPS Campground), Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Wow! This was by far the most beautiful campground on our trip. Near the streaming river, big green fields with trees, spacious sites. Visitor center and park entrance very nearby, easy to start a trail. Would have loved to stay her a bit longer. We camped at Fruita Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Chose Ruby's Inn over the Bryce Canyon NP campings for the full hookup and swimming pool. That part was according to expectations and we enjoyed both! Site was a bit disappointing, in the middle of a open flat gravel. Did have some good interaction with our neighbours, helpful people. The store is good enough for elementary groceries, firewood, drinks. No official BBQ, but we made one of rocks ourselves which worked pretty well. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Watchman Campground (NPS Campground), Zion National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One of our favorites on the trip! Make sure to get one of the loop B riverside places, they give direct access to the slow running river to get a cooldown. Nature and scenery is beautiful, and with water and electric hookup you really have got it all. Would have liked to stay more then one night over here and would definitely stay longer next time! Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, well managed. Bit of upper class look and feel but good rate. Pool is amazing, certainly after a long trip through the desert! We got a place next to the showers / restrooms, but did not have any disturbance or smell during our visit. I would stay here again. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park, Mammoth Lakes, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Had most difficulty for choosing this spot during our trip, but in the end decided to stay here for full hookup and location. Hard to get coins for the laundromat ... was send into town, but nowhere they wanted to give me some change that fitted the machines. Pool is overrated. If you're only here for having a place to park your RV and for the rest of the day spend outside the RV park, it should be fine (but in that case REALLY expensive for parking). We camped at Mammoth Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Trip to devils postpile and rainbow falls was ... a bit disappointing. Travel by old tram to the action center was nice. Remember that shuttles from the action center to town depart at five a clock for the last time. Having dinner up the mountain require alternative transportation. We were too late ...

Plasse's Resort, Pioneer, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Selected this location as alternative for a two day stay at Yosemite which was closed due to wildfires. We were not disappointed in our choice, and had a great time over there! Certainly Silver Lake for both swimming and canoeing is GREAT. Nice scenery ... We selected this location as well because the good route 88 towards the campground which will bring you through the mountain range quite easily. Service at the campground was friendly, though some improvement was possible in orderly management of the facilities; restaurant closed before scheduled time because of low expected number of attendees, and oversight of available canoes was bit of a mess. But they cleared everything up for us, so no complaints! The meadows (M places) where mostly occupied for people with horses. They did not give any issues or problematic smell, and we had nice talks with the occupants around us. We camped at Plasse's Resort in a Motorhome.
