Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park), Americus, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The Park was very quaint with only 46 RV spots. The Saturday night happy hour was lovely. All the guests John Ned together for s'mores and appetizers provided by the park. The spread was great and a good time was had by all, especially our two boys 7 and 10. They now have an enclosed dog park which was great for our pups. The large dog walk areas were also nice. They also offer free 18 hole golf, disk golf, and foot golf complementary to your stay. The hosts were warm and friendly and made us all feel very welcome. We will visit again for sure. We typically limit our stays in middle Georgia to fall - spring due to the summer knatz. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Cove RV Park, Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped at the Shady Cove RV Park for one night and the park owners were very nice and accommodating allowing for easy after hours check in. The sites were gravel and level, the gravel area outside of the parking pad was a little on the muddy side. The trails were plentiful for walking the dogs although they were quite wet. Water, sewer, and 50 amp hook ups were very nice. The cable connection was very strong with over 40 channels. We did not have a code to access the bathhouses but the surrounding area was clean and well kept. We camped at Shady Cove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped at the Tom Sawyer RV Park for one night and the park owners were very nice and accommodating. The sites were concrete and level, the gravel area outside of the parking pad was a little on the muddy side. Our site was right on the Mississippi River and the views were great. The trails were plentiful for walking the dogs although they were quite wet. Water, sewer, and 50 amp hook ups were very nice. WiFi was spotty but did work. No cable is provided but there is excellent antenna coverage. Bathhouses included a single stall of men and separate for women, they were clean and heated. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hot Springs National Park KOA, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay at the KOA Hot Springs. It was the coldest it had been in Hot Springs during our visit. The staff was welcoming and the grounds were well kept. The laundry had plenty of washers and dryers all located inside the warm bathhouse. The restrooms were also clean and warm with plenty of showers so there was no waiting. The trails were plentiful and my kids and dogs alike enjoyed them. The dog park was the perfect touch to allow our pups some leash free play time. The sites were level and concrete slabs were at each site to allow for level lounging. The fire ring was a nice size and grates were provided to allow for over fire cooking. We will be back! We camped at Hot Springs National Park KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
