Caladesi RV Park, Palm Harbor, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This place is owned and operated by a hardworking young man and his sweet wife. Both of them were extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to help us with everything from recommending a yoga class to a rather silly and unusual favor involving our dog. :) Caladesi is clean and well-maintained. It has a fantastic location, just a block away from the Pinellas Trail and lots of cute shops and restaurants. That's super convenient because I was able to explore on my own when my husband was on the golf course. And the tenants and campers were very warm and friendly. One man introduced himself when we arrived and another lady offered to drive me to the yoga class. We got to socialize with even more of them during the free coffee and donuts event each Thursday morning. We haven't been to this area of Florida in more than ten years, but we had such a fantastic experience at Caladesi RV that we plan to return there in a month or two. We can't wait. We prefer to stay at a small and warm family-owned campground rather than the stuffy, corporate type so common these days. We camped at Caladesi RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paradise By The Sea RV Resort, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

This place caused us to fall in love with Oceanside! It's a three-minute walk to the ocean and there's a nice little park nearby as well. The location is fantastic because you can also walk to a variety of great restaurants and even a fabulous yoga studio. (The park even has a meditation garden!) There are also a number of shops within walking distance which is great because I can indulge in retail therapy while my husband is on the golf course. The park is clean and well-maintained and the staff is friendly. We live on the East Coast, so we don't get to visit as much as we'd like, but it's one of our favorite places to stay. We camped at Paradise By The Sea RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cape Hatteras KOA, Rodanthe, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite place to stay when visiting the OBX. It's located right on the ocean and across the street from the sound. It's also within walking distance of great restaurants. The roads are wide and super easy to navigate and the sites are roomy too. We love that we can walk the dogs on the beach and also that they are safe and happy walking around the park as well. It's a well-maintained and clean park with a friendly and helpful staff. We visit each fall and spring. We camped at Cape Hatteras KOA in a Motorhome.
