Patrick AFB Campground, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here before and not had any issues. This time is different. Not only does it appear there is a "new sheriff in town" but there are numerous sites that are not available due to some work being done in the area just to the west of the park. As near as I could tell, the construction was supposed to be done at the end of September and in typical construction fashion it is not finished. Numerous times the office was not available and neither were the hosts. I don't recall seeing the camp hosts ever being "on" duty. They were a little overly enthusiastic to enforce rules and not have any leniency considering the sites were shorten. Our truck stuck out in the road a little and they were quick to make us move it. Quick to tell someone backing into a site that he needed a person guiding him. What if the passenger was handicapped and couldn't get out? Lighten up! We camped at Patrick AFB Campground in a Motorhome.

Eagle's Roost RV Resort, Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped in here for an overnight. Called prior to 5PM in case they closed early on a Sunday. They stay open till 8PM on a Sunday! WOW! Don't expect to use your satellite here. Antenna didn't do much better. Trees with moss are everywhere. Quite a few areas with nothing but sand around the sites. Some had more grass. Easy access with stores and restaurants nearby. We will stay here again if we are in the area traveling I-75! We camped at Eagle's Roost RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Creekside RV Resort, Punta Gorda, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

What a nice place. Great amenities and plenty of space between sites. Newer park so landscaping is young and there are NO large trees for shade. This makes for a wonderfully satellite friendly park. Numerous sites offer back in or pull in. There is pickle ball, pool and hot tub plus a pool table in a very nice club house. Gates close when the park office is closed. Previous comments we had read talks about the airport noise but we didn't experience that, not too excess anyway. We will be back and highly recommend! We camped at Creekside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are wonderful things to do in the area. Market downtown on Saturday mornings. Walmart, Pilot and several restaurants about a mile away.

CreekFire Motor Ranch, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We were coming through the area and stayed here only one night. We had seen a representative from here at the Tampa RV show in Jan '18. Called for reservations and it was easy and the staff was very pleasant on the phone. Easy access from I-95. We did have a little scare with having enough room to enter and exit the reception area. We have a 44ft and tow a full size truck. The instructions to our site were excellent. Pull thru site was a little narrow, but long enough to where we didn't have to disconnect the towed. The fire ring and gravel patio is towards the back of the site, so not by your door or where it would be under an awning. The grounds are nice, since this is fairly new there is not much landscaping. LOVE they have trash cans at all sites! Since we were only there one night we didn't get to use the pool or explore the resort (it was raining too) but would have loved to see the whole area. We would stay here again if we are in the area! They have a shuttle service available to go down town, however they didn't tell you anything about it. Might want to inquire if you want to go downtown. We camped at CreekFire Motor Ranch in a Motorhome.

Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class A Only), Lake Toxaway, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

We had been wanting to come to this Resort for 3 years. It was worth the wait! I wish we had come sooner, and we sure didn't want to leave! Gorgeous area. A little treacherous to get to due to REALLY curvy roads. Please pay attention to the website as they have excellent directions and a list of certain roads that are not good to travel on. Sites are large. We had our 44ft with golf cart (owners golf cart also on site) our motorcycle and full size truck on the site and STILL had room. We were glad we had our golf cart as the area is very hilly. Most sites have outdoor kitchens and fireplaces. Check in was a breeze, staff always helpful and courteous when we were in the office. Other owners we met were AWESOME people and encouraged us to return. Its VERY tempting to buy a lot. There are two pools in the resort, one at the bottom nice fenced in area. The one at the top of the resort is quite a bit larger and has a view to die for! A country club type clubhouse was also there with kitchen and workout facilities. However, the pool up there was not working. We were told the equipment suffered damage during the winter. There is a small par 3 golf course also, needed a bit of attention to the grounds. We were disappointed in the landscaping on our lot and the lot next to us. Weeds were taking over the beds and those needed tending to also. Clearly a resort we will be coming back to! We camped at Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort (Class A Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cornucopia Restaurant in Cashiers is a wonderful place to eat. Take your time coming in to the area. REALLY curvy roads. Go find the Blue Ridge Parkway and the waterfalls in the area. A nice place to visit on Lake Toxaway is Greystone Inn.

Eagles Landing RV Park, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our way to Texas from Melbourne Florida. It was our first time and will not be our last. Easy in and out of park. Super easy reservations and owners are doing it right. Beware, they only allow cash or check for payment. No Debt Cards. Easy to find off of I-10 and far enough away from the highway where you don't hear the road noise. We were disappointed they were full on our way back to Florida. We will be back and make this a regular stop. Thanks. We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.
