Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Would not recommend. Nothing more than a parking lot. They turn off the water when it gets cold. They have picnic tables that they place on a hill. Water is every other site. No sewer. No trees. One shower facility. No other amenities. I have been to a number of fairgrounds and like this one the least. Their WiFi requires that you re-login frequently and blocked many sites (Netflix is a good example). Understandable with a large campground, but this one is very small. The wind comes off the mountain with no break. They have no trees or other shade. Don't show up at night unless you have support for backing in. It is pretty dim. We camped at Jefferson County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

I think that many of these reviews are shills. I would not return. We inadvertently booked a site with no sewage. If we wanted sewage, we were told that we would have had to drop to 30amps, and pay and additional *$30/DAY*! Even the front desk person said that this made no sense and called the manager/owner who confirmed. $30/day for sewage is beyond ridiculous. When we left we were told that we could use the communal dump site. We get over there and we were told it was full by a really surly staffer. Most of the folks were very pleasant, our site was pretty level and under trees. Showers were acceptable - we had to use them as we could not dump. Had an indoor pool and hot tub. Laundry was $5/load. We camped at Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Williams is a very cool little town. About an hour from Grand Canyon. Get up early and see the sunrise. Spectacular.
