Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA, Sweetwater, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Tennessee = hills. We are always cautious in Tennessee because of the terrain. So, I always ask lots of questions and for the most part we were given accurate information. KOA isn't too far from highway but down a narrow road and park entrance is on a dangerous curve but a mirror is installed on a pole. Large speed bumps at entance and exit. We were given a double site which was plenty long enough. But with a slight incline and narrow road to get out was a constant worry for the week we were there. There was a picnic table and fire pit. Upon departure, we were fortunate that the unit behind us across the road left as we were packing up so we were able to back up into that site to avoid the incline and narrow road if we were to pull straight out of our site. We have a 40' 5th wheel and dually truck so that was our problem. There were several other sites that would have been more acceptable but we managed. Knowing what we know now about the layout of this park we would request a different site. Overall, a nice park and location. We camped at Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Oaks RV Park, Elko, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Exceptional in every way. Very close to highway but was not bothered by highway noise. Long, level pull-thru as requested and did not have to unhook vehicle from 5th wheel. Easy to get to and from the road into entrance with no problems. Nice patio and picnic table. Perfect for overnight and will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden River Resort, Riverview, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is NOT a resort. When making reservation, was not told the pool and work out room were closed due to the storm. Also was NOT told that the site was side-by-side, which means door faces your neighbor. As if that wasn't bad enough, there was very little room between units. My husband could literally stand with arms stretched and touch both 5th wheels. Thank goodness only there one month or we would have probably left early. We were literally at the edge of the parking lot with cars going by constantly, along with some strange activity in this parking lot late at night. Park is an old mobile home park with many old units and narrow roads. Granted, main part of park was closed from the storm but even if that were open we would have had trouble getting there as many trees and narrow roads. Park located at a dead end road through a residential area. Did have a small cement pad that did not line up to unit. Would not go back here. We camped at Hidden River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Lake RV Resort, Citra, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Out in the country. Between Ocala and Gainesville. Overall, this could be a beautiful park. However Sun RV seems to have an issue keeping up with maintenance. We were here for 3 months and saw very little being done by any of the workers. Owners would pile leaves up by the road and there they would stay for several days. Bathrooms and laundry facilities were never clean. We had a nice long pull thru site with plenty of space and easy to get in/out. We heard many complaints from others while we were there. Laundry you had to Purchase a card for $5 just to put more money on the card to do laundry. Machines were often busy because there were broken ones not being fixed. Many issues. Like I said the park could be beautiful but management is lacking and not present. Restaurant on site but never ate there. Lake is nasty and not pleasant to look at. Noisy neighbors. We will NOT return. We camped at Grand Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Palms RV Resort, Okeechobee, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Resort is beautiful but management leaves much to be desired. When you leave the resort it's still Okeechobee. A long drive to anywhere decent for shopping or restaurants etc. $1200 per month is a bit pricey and not worth the money. No patio or table. If you are looking to buy in this resort buyer BEWARE! We camped at Silver Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.
