1st Class Campground, Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

*NEW* 10 pull-through sites with a gravel base....can create some dust when dry. While it's *mostly* level, we found the nose of the coach elevated as compared to the rear, making the "first step" a bit awkward. Pedestal is conveniently located with water, sewer and 30/50 amp service available. Toad parking is "OK", but can be a bit tight depending on how you parked your coach. The campground is still new. The owner stated that he is wanting to expand the number of sites and add a common "gathering" area. We camped at 1st Class Campground in a Motorhome.

Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only), Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Tiffin's service area "campground". This is a very "basic" campground only to be used while getting service for your coach. It is grave, mud, dirt and asphalt. There is NO shade. Cost - if in warranty is $0.00, all others are charged $25/night. Check in at the office, setup "camp" and then take your paperwork and your "list" so they can plan your service needs. Get out in the evening and walk around. Talk to other "campers" - LOTS of information sharing in the evenings. Check out the "after hours" list of services that are available on the FB "Tiffin Red Bay Roll Call" site. We camped at Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $105.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access off of I-10, but route yourself using google maps. Person met us at the gate and gave us directions to our easy back-in slots. Unhooked toad, backed in, set-up and turned on the AC (it was 93*) before going inside to settle up. Security is "OK". Barbs on the top of the perimeter fence should keep out unauthorized people. Keep your bay doors closed and locked. Walking to the French Quarter in daylight is no issue. Walking at night needs to be in a group. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Food. French Quarter, Cafe du Monde, Frenchman street, WWII Museum, Plantations (self guided tours), French Quarter market is like a bazaar (sigh).

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great place for a night or two. Easy off from I-40. Fuel available the I-40 interchange. Gravel drive with tree-lined access to most of the sites. Antenna's "twanged" as we drove to our site. Concrete pad to park on is level. Angled slots at the top of the hill allows spacing, but they are still "close". Call ahead to make certain that there is space available. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Fern Lake Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a Class A (40') RV. We actually have spent 6 moths here. The rate is $525/month including electricity (50a), water and sewer hookup. When we checked in, there was an issue with the East side of the park, so we were "staged" in a different area until the issue was (quickly) resolved. It's a nice campground. Attentive owners. Clean facilities. Although there is a Pilot Truckstop close by, there is very little noise that can be heard in the campground. We would return here again if there was a need. We camped at Fern Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I was here for work, but there are several restaurants in Paducah, KY that will meet most culinary needs. The Mexican Restaurant across the road was good food! The Waffle Hut - open 24 hours - (also across the road) was a great place for breakfast. dinner? ....there are better options.
