Calico Ghost Town & Campground, Yermo, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

OK, hadn't seen the Ghost Town since our kids were little. However, probably won't go back anytime soon....at least not on the weekend or holiday....the entire campground had been taken over by 4x4 jeeps, etc. There was a huge organized group that was very noisy at night seemed to be sponsored by Jeep Company. There were 2 Jeep reps. there and one parked a new jeep that they were showing off in our site. If you are a jeep person it would be good...if you have a family....maybe not. Might be OK during the week-Monday-Thursday. Sites could have been in better shape, also no shade anywhere. We camped at Calico Ghost Town & Campground in a Motorhome.

Emerald Desert RV Resort, Palm Desert, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $200.00
Overall Rating:

Front desk needs greater experience to handle questions...also how difficult would it be to have a matching service to match tennis and pickle ball players.....don't know if the owners care enough to look at these reviews ....I have requested this sort of thing to them in the past when at the park. As others have said....expensive during the spring and during the tennis tournament at Tennis Garden....and the train and traffic is loud in the less expensive sites. If you have a small RV you may feel overwhelmed by all the large 35-40 foot 5th wheels and class A motor homes. We mostly go to the tennis tournament in March and play tennis and pickle ball.....only one tennis court left and it is line-marked for pickleball....tennis seems to be on the way out here. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.
