Marion Campground & RV Park, Marion, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice small park right off the interstate. Lots are level, spacious and most have shade. There’s a small playground and lots of grass for pets. Internet signal was strong. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Country Gardens RV Park, Odessa, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park right off the interstate behind a country store. Our site was pull through on concrete with full hook ups, nice green grass, shade and a dog walk. The staff was friendly and there’s a good selection of local cheese with checking out in the store. I only found one garbage can which was odd, but it wasn’t a problem. We would definitely stop over again. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Motorhome.

Base Camp Family Campground, Alamosa, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is in a high desert valley so no shade but it appears to be fairly new and the friendly owners have planted trees that will make a big difference later. The park is well planned with spacious lots to accommodate any size rig. Tents are set up in a separate area. Location is convenient to area activities. We camped at Base Camp Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Fun Valley Campground, South Fork, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This is the largest and most crowded park we’ve ever been in. There are many family activities which is the main draw I’m sure. If you’re in a big rig BEWARE. There are definitely spaces that will accommodate a big rig comfortably but there is no rhyme or reason we could see as to how spaces were assigned. Small trailers were parked in large spaces and large rigs were so close there was barely room to open slides. No one from the park helps you navigate or park and it took us upwards of an hour to park including time to find people whose vehicles had to be moved before we could squeeze in and I’m not sure we ever could have if it hadn’t been for the help of other campers. There was a constant parade of trucks, bicycles and golf carts but everything shut down during quiet hours. A couple of roads had large pot holes at the end and steel posts had been driven in to block access rather than repair (?). There was trash on the ground around the main gathering areas - it would be hard to keep up with that many people but still. Only the friendly campers around us made this pleasant. I would only consider returning if we had our grandchildren and were able to secure a reasonably sized site.Management really could make access a lot easier if they only wanted to. We camped at Fun Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is by the river and several sites have a river view while others face the small stocked lake. There’s no dog walk but plenty of space to walk your pet and conveniently located trash receptacles along the way. Pagosa Springs is a short drive away. Staff was friendly if a little harried due to the holiday influx of campers. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Motorhome.

Blaze-in-Saddle, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a quiet, clean no frills park with friendly staff and level ground. There was plenty of room to maneuver and park without unhooking our towed car. Convenient access to interstate and town. It was a good overnight stop for us and we’d stay here again. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp, Leavenworth, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a jewel of a park. We trusted our gps because the closer we got, the smaller and narrower the roads, causing us to question where we were headed. The final few miles are steep downhill and twisty so be forewarned. When we got to the park however, it was nicely level and open with about half the sites backing up to the Ohio river. The owner helped us find our spot and directed for the back-in which we appreciated as it was beginning to get dark. We listened to soft rain on the roof as well as to barges passing behind us in the night. We were only there for one night but would have enjoyed staying longer despite the rainy weather. We’ll definitely try to stay here again. We camped at Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp in a Motorhome.

Togetherness Works RV Park, Guin, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If you like quiet and back in the woods, this place is for you. The owner was very helpful and our dog loved the woodsy environment. We were in a 40 ft motor coach and were finally able to level, but the park was built before the advent of such large vehicles and we may have been on one of the only sites that could accommodate us. This is a great place for smaller campers or tents though. Few amenities are provided but power was great. We did not hook up to water or sewer as we only stayed one night. The roads were fine if a bit twisty, but we were able to navigate with care. We camped at Togetherness Works RV Park in a Motorhome.

Desert Shadows RV Resort, Phoenix, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here several days and took day trips in the area. It's a mix of permanent, temporary and transient residents. The staff is helpful and the office/club house areas were large and well kept. The transient area was convenient. We camped at Desert Shadows RV Resort in a Motorhome.

81 Palms Senior RV Resort (55+ Park), Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Follow the advice of other reviewers and don't get into a discussion about the WiFi - just nod, smile and move on. We just spent one night and it was rainy so the clerk made a point of making sure we were aware of spots that might get a lot of water. It was convenient to the interstate. We camped at 81 Palms Senior RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $40.00

We stayed one night and found people friendly and helpful. There was a small dog run. Our pull through was a double, meaning you either had to pull in and back out or visa versa. It was a little tight driving through but navigable. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Bar J Hitchin Post RV, Sweetwater, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here both outgoing and returning on our trip and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's very convenient to I-10 but is pretty quiet nonetheless. A train goes through that we enjoyed hearing, but others might not. There are a number of long term workers staying there but everyone is neat and those we met were very nice.
