Tranquil Timbers Camping Resort, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Booked 50 amp full hookup three months ago Got an email two days before we arrived that only 30 amp no sewer available. They said in in the middle of our 2 week stay we could move 5 days to a full hook up site but we would have to move back With 4 days remaining I asked if we could move to one of the four empty sites. We were told they were booked up. Three f the 50 amp sites were empty our entire stay I was outright lied to by management Also had trouble with the 30 amp receptical tripping which had four sites connected to. They need major work done on there infrastructure. They also need to be honest to there guests. Talked to permanent residents who said this is pare for the course. Park is picturesque and located centrally located in Door County. We camped at Tranquil Timbers Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park), Harlingen, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Tropic Winds is a clean quiet park. RV sites are a good distance apart. Park has a good number of activities to appease everyone. Called ahead of time to acquire about a mailing address for some packages expected. We were given instructions on where to go when we arrived on Sunday. Office was closed. We found a spot and set up. On Monday we were told we were in the the wrong area and the instructions we were given were incorrect. We had to move spots. Another couple had the same situation. No apology given. The original spot we had taken was empty the whole two weeks we were there. The mailing address for a UPS package that we were given was also wrong. The package could not be delivered. We had to go to the UPS depot to pick it up. Other than those two issues Tropic Winds is a fine park. Management could use a few lessons in communication and customer service. We camped at Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Bay Landing RV Campground, Bridgeport, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at Bay Landing in January in the off season. All buildings in our section were closed except business office to use internet. Staff was friendly. Roads were poorly maintained with large pot holes. Staff was trying to minimize these by putting large rocks in some of them. Sites were of good length and rustic right by the lake. 50 amp was an up-charge and not available in every site. Not good in this day and age. We did have full hook-ups in section 3 but only certain sites of the 25 sites had sewer. Most of the park was full time residents and did not have sewer hook ups. How does that work? Wild life especially dear were very plentiful. Overall not a bad park. We camped at Bay Landing RV Campground in a Motorhome.

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good short term park. The park is very aged and is in need of updating. But is adequate as far as facilities . Sites are very long pull through and can leave a tow vehicle attached overnight if need be. Utilities are on a dirt surface. It rained when I left. It was muddy disconnecting. Close to expressway, Holbrook and Petrified Forest NP. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Park was hard to find initially. Check in process was excellent with the customer service person very friendly. Roads in the park are very narrow, hilly and gravel. The site I received was level and easy to back into. Service road behind my site had traffic at times that kicked up a lot of dust. Showers and rest area was clean. But no where to sit in the shower area or rest area. made putting on shoes difficult. The staff in the office were every friendly . The fee of $48 in off season was rather high. With a longer than 35' rig I would definitely get a pull through site which were basically a gravel parking lot. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.
